Came across this advert on Yahoo Auctions. They claim to do mobile bike repairs. Anyone actually tried their services before? If its good and the pricing reasonable, it would save a lot of people the hassle.

just called them. they do service on holiday!! YAY!!!!

they say DID heavy duty chain 50 bucks..

but bo bian.. holiday.. haha yay can ride liao.

ok just had my chain replaced by ah hua.

 

hes a old chinese guy ( i guessing 60+) with ALOT of eperience (50+ years according to him). however i do foresee a problem. he speaks mainly dialect (hokkien i think) and abit of chinese. i had a little bit of problem communicating.. but hes a nice guy. he stays in woodlands. chat with him while he change my chain. He also helped oil other parts like clutch and rusty joints.. thanks! he doesnt overcharge also.. change chain 50.. good lah considering public holiday and i no need to tow.

 

He says ah peng is his son-in-law (hope i interpret correctly). So ah peng will be younger. not sure about what language he speaks.

 

to summarize, know what you want to service (he travels by bike) so no last minute changes. also if strictly english speaking i would advise contact ah peng.

So total is 50 bux flat? No surcharge for the mobile nature of the job? Good man... He only do for normal bikes huh? How bout scooters etc.?

i guess they hv their own workshop jus that they do mobile servicing at the same time .. is gd to hv tis kind of service which is ideal in singapore as singaporean is alway bz with something

i tried before..twice.. Ah Peng help me when I puncture my bike tyre.. twice also.. really handy when u really in need of help and in odd hours of the day too... and price reasonable .. friendly guy too..

 

this kind of service late at night and somemore stranded at the roadside, i dun mind paying a bit more... rather than tow to bike shop.. and have to wait next day..

come over to ur place, and do all e repair?

they bring their tools over ah?

if wan change tyre den they bring 2 tyre over to ur place and change it for u?

If minor repair ok bah.. If need to overhaul engine do they have a workshop? Came across this type of sevice b4.. Not bad.. If not wrong they have those 2 big side box one right.. Inside all their tools..

called them several time, hp off.

wanna ask them come dwnto repair my clutch, front & rear break.

signal light oso drop off, spedometer not working [maybe wire fault]

if any kind soul call them.

pls kindly tell them abt my prob.

hmm jus tried out this service.

changed break and clutch.

adjusted my alignment and disconnect the "sot" wire.

$55.

rather reasonable as its cheaper den towing the bike to bike shop.

which cost $30 already, before repair.
