hi,went to a few shop to check up on 1st hand wave S pricing recently and the insurance quotation given to me by different shops differs alot,i'm 20 and i'm planning to buy the bike using my friend's name(he's 27 and goin to be the first owner/rider),some shops told me that insurance would be $300+ if i use my friends name as he's older but a few other shops told me that since i'm the youngest rider,the pricing is done in accordance to my age so that mean the insurance would then be $600+...so i'm confuse...which one is the real price???

It depends on the different insurance companies.

 

NTUC will go by the main rider's age (27 years old), whereas Mitsui will take the youngest rider's age (20 years old).

depending on ur age & bike insuring under.Word of advice is never scrimp on ur insurance premium especially for new bikes as it's the only protection against fire or theft or even accidental claims,& it'll be disastrous if ani of the abovementioned happens but u're not liable for claims in any ways,datz wad bikers or owners dun wanna happens.Regards.

I don know either yamaha RXZ can go for ntuc insurance.... my friends said that ntuc don take new proposal for RXZ...

Hi guys, just wanna know wat are the different types of insurance u guys using ? I know it may differ with age and experience etc but at least we can get a rough estimation.

Im using NTUC.

 

Currently for NTUC, there is an additional 10% discount, on top of your NCB.

eg. for me i have 10% NCB. So in total i have 20% deducted off my oiginal premium.

Therefore, Im paying 80% only.

Somehow they also take into consideration of your Vehicle Plate no.

I go 2 different price quotations, from one an FY Plate, and the other an FZ Plate. Same bike, but the FZ plate they quoted me more expensive.

Me 31. Third party insurance First year is under $140 & $99 second year. Wave S model. 3 years riding experiance. Mitsu insurer. No accident claim for all 3 years.

$700+ seems abit too much for yr case. When i was a totally new rider (19 yrs old) 2 years ago i bought mitsui 1st party for $798 thru motortiam
