oh ya hey anyone have this strange sound from thier bandit 400 p? when i warm my bike up and rev it slightly to 1.5k it has ticking, its a strange rustling sound cra- cra -crac. its soft but audible.

 

and my idling is not very consistaent always floats around the 1k, sometimes over and sometimes under.

 

i wonder if i need valve clearancing? scary hear it costs a bomb. will pop by to planet motor end of the month so have a checky checky

i have not heard those noises you mentioned so far...so far so good...but my idling would go as high as 2rpm after long run at the xpressway....

ah thats true with a twisty wrist after expressway riding my idling also sometimes will float to 1.5+ to 2, i guess its normal maybe too much fuel in carbs? i think?

valve clearence not necessary to be expensive... depends on the shop...

i did... only abt $100++ the tick-2 is tempad....

and does anyone know how much eo is needed after oil filter change? without is 2.3 right?

after oil filter change is 2.8l. some ppl prefer to put fully and some semi. well i use semi becos i think i prefer to have more frequent oil changes becos it is an old engine and so will have alot of wear and tear. so i change semi and change every 5000 km. fully i think can use til 10000 km.

Went to PG recently with my bandit together with Wayang. Was great fun! Scrapped some footpegs and whacked the carbon out of my bike together with some coolant and engine oil.. Managed to clock 2:10. Addictive...wanna go again but tyres ex to shred. Some pictures:

i love it

Since I use Motul, I find it is incomparable! MOTUL 5100/7100 for me!

best for all bike 4000-5000 to change oil....

if everything want cheap: 2nd hand.....or chiong 4wat

then use a few mth or weeks. the thing spoil, buy again or this time buy new original 1.. calculate the $$$ spent it will be more than if U buy new or original the first time

some things are best buy original..at least it is reliable...if not got headaches...worst...HEARTaches..then how, rite?? better to do it swee swee...go home also happy (though the pockets got burnt! )
