Hi Guys , anyone has an exhaust system or endcan to boost my Bandit ?

i wanted the exhaust to look slightly higher than the normal ..... any advice from experts in here ?

Hi all, will like to share my experience with u all about the idling problem.

 

Check the spark plugs got alot of carbon burn below anot if got change new one.

I use NGK CR9EK spark plug $8.50, good for cool weather even after rain.

Last time, when I first get my bike, it has terrible idling problem. After carb wash n tune, its getting better but later i discovered the ignition spark plug holder that you push to plug into the spark plug got rust inside causing irregular idling.

 

To prevent rain slip into the holes, change new spark plug cap.

 

Hope its help the newbies.

Like to find out if the Suzuki service centre, near Paya Leba, and the suzuki agent in Rangoon road still at their old address? If not kindly post their new address.

 

I know KS opp AhBoy still ard, but I need the agent address to order spare parts from Japan just in case KS has no stock for my bike.

hear some screeching during braking..

 

Does that indicates brake pads are worn out???

 

if yes how much do i change it..?

 

lets say generally what is the cost price at any workshop...

might be worn out. but might be brake dust too. go let ur trusted mech take a look.

 

as for the cost.. not too sure.

had the same problem. yea brake pads worn out. cost me $25 each for one rear and 2 front. so total cost was 75.

 

my mech used the hard brake pads for my rear n the soft ones for the front. there's some screeching still for my rear. mech said it takes a 2-3 weeks before there'll be no sound. is this true?

u riding bandit v? hmm... wad the differences between soft and hard pad?

 

hmm, from what i know.... usually it takes sometimes for the new brake pad to get seasoned. when it's still brand new, there might be some screeching sound. dont go so fast until ur brake pad season... its not as effective as compared to when its seasoned.

yea riding bandit v.

mech told me the hard pad last longer than the soft pad. since we use rear brakes more so he put the hard pad there.

 

hmm ok so the screeching sound means its normal. he told me if after 3 weeks still screeching, he will change the pad for me. so just gotta wait n see...

guys, i need some pointers from the old timers.

im riding a gsf 400p bandit.

 

my problem is, when the bike's idling, there's this loud thud sound coming from the carburettor. when i went to take a look at the carburettor, it's as if the carb vibrated vigorously when the thud noise came about. been going to guan hoe for 2 weeks in a row and mr han kept saying "ok no problem after this" but the problem still remained. im really getting frustrated with guan hoe's integrity. i've recently changed the spark plugs, spark plug heads, washed and tuned the carb changed engine oil and also the coolant.

 

i will go and check my oil and air filters soon.

fellow riders out there anyone would like to clarify my problem.

Once, I happened to bring this to about 180km/h and it was still climbing(slowly). Can anyone tell me if it was error on the speedometer?

Wow, I didn't know it could hit that kind of speed, my previous hit only 175km/h max. Maybe should try again on this, slowly climb slowly climb, maybe can hit 200km/h too if your friend wasn't pulling your leg.

the only legal exhaust is gpr...

 

anyway as for the parts, how much does he wanna let go off the following...

 

- rear disc

- cdi

- rectifier

err.. i think only the end can is available. must ask DatsunKing. as for tuning, i believe all bike must be retune to get the optimal performance if not change liao also not much effect (maybe except the sound?)

if not wrong it cost $680 brand new for titanium ver last time now i dunno... without tuning also has improvement... best of cos tune...
