i also yes to all leh..hha! looks like all of us have clutch plate problems huh...MO from guan hoe :D

 

kidding..go where find money for this...i mean..can ride can liaoz..not that big a problem rite... @ least it's not bad until u clutch in also will stall...

I feel more relieved after hearing its yes to all the 3 test. I posted a similar question in a US bandit forum and the reply I get is its normal.

 

So I guess my diff in down shifting is not related to clutch plate.

Another bandit400 test for you guys.

 

Test 1

*****

Step 1: Start the bike and leave it idling

Step 2: After approx 15-20mins

 

Result : Do you see signs of white smoke from the exhaust?

 

Test 2

*****

Step 3: Continue to let the engine idle till the fan turns on and wait for 10-15mins

 

Result: Does the fan turns off?

Your fan doesn't turn on??

 

Mine seems to heat up very fast. Last night after ride about 15mins, come home and let the bike idle about 10mins then the fan turn on already.

Mine fans was on before so confirm working.....

But I dun think it will on so easily, even when I travel to JB JAM pump petrol also hardly on.....

 

Maybe can check if your coolent is enough or pump is working......

 

(I'M NOT SURE ABT THIS....)

Answer: no... the onli time i see white smoke is when I run the bike on NSH at >160km/h for quite a while. after i off the engine, there'll be smoke from the exhaust.... but I think it's due to the unburnt carbon clogging the pipe.

 

Test 2

Step 3: Continue to let the engine idle till the fan turns on and wait for 10-15mins

 

Result: Does the fan turns off?

Answer: yes.

1991 Bandit/GSXR 400 Clean Title, 60HP, Gsxr front end, Gsxr swing arm, 3.5 front wheel, 5.5 rear wheel, Penske rear shock, Gsxr rear sets, Gsxr Sharskins, GMD set up on the frame, fresh rebuild on motor with lighten crank and degreed cams. zxr400? not my kind of ride man. I'm more a-b wif a little bit of zip in between. looked good thou but i doubt it wld shine in my hands. My front bt090 on the bandit still has an inch on both sides of the tires that has yet to kiss the tar. sigh again. cant imagine myself on a wave except for the transport need. sighh

 

btw, can i borrow from u the manual for the Fc100. wld be on reservist till 1st Aug . . . :cry:
