Hi Sam,

still haven found your bandit1200? look more often in yahoo classified, last time used to see a few bandit12 at ~$5k+. ..wasted, should had got a 12 that time, but cant reach the floor and $ problem then...

if you dun mind the naked version, i think loois motor should have 1 or 2 new generation bandit12. ever saw a 2nd hand there, but dunno still have it.

most prob i will also be going for the bandit12, 2nd hand, 1st generation...and preferable SILVER....... :lovestruck:

but that would be in mid 2006 or next yr if i get luckly.

wish you luck in finding one. :thumb:

I just realised something.

Life is not difficult. Its the people around who makes life seems difficult. :|

Silver,

Still looking but if cannot find will try something else from my list. I crashed my previous 1st generation bandit 12 . I scrapped that bike and now have, on my hands some expensive aftermarkets which includes new ohlins fork spings, SS brake lines, a fantastic 1 year bitubo shock and brand new nopolean long stem mirrors bought from holeshot all for the bandit 1200.

This parts will only work on the bandit 600 and 1200 and I hope to use them to decrease my ownership cost then sell them for leeser than they are worth. If a resonable priced bandit 1200 doesn't come by, selling might be my option. :-)

oic. Its you huh. I think if you considering b12, do not rule out 2nd generation. The depreciation would have made the bike 5-6k by now. THe 1st generation is getting really old. It may end up cheaper up front, but the wearing out parts will nickle and dime you (not tho mention the aggravation) till even it out with the newer b12. In a nutshell, a newer bike just makes ownership easier and could be cheaper. I am opening up to more options as bikes appear for resale. Targeting a particular model strongly will weaken the bargaining position. Also, I don't keep my bikes for that long so a b12 may still appear in the long term horizon somehow - like a long lost girlfriend (or boyfriend for you). hehehe :-)

You getting the belly pan, perhaps we can start a mass ordering among us bandit400 to get a better deal from LAB.

I am quite broke this month, just install GIVI wind shield. Going to get the Hel brake hose and engine oil hose from Vector one next month.

im looking for d model 1999, at least can ride on for 3 yrs before i renew the coe if i get it in 2006. parts wise, i can still get it oversea where there is still parts. the only thing is waiting for the part to be shipped over. I dont really fancy the 2nd generation now, althought the cat-eye fairing is the one that attracts me in the first place.

we will see how...

kekeke...the seller only got one piece for sale, Kenneth got a much sweeter deal, $25 for his GIVI wind shield.

Mine is black, plan to spray the whole bike next year when got $$, so the windshield and belly pan will have the same color by then.

Perhaps you need to verify your main jet size, previous owner might have alter it because that will affect your top speed. Also check your sprocket size, btw Bandit400 can reach 200km/h (I haven tried mine yet, no confidence on my IRC tires)

Looks to me your carbs or air filter might be dirty, time to service perhaps.

Sorry why would you want to put cement on the belly pan? Or do you mean to putty and respray?? Probably I will sent the the whole bike to shop to respray next year.

Hi bandit riders

can I ask how is ur fuel consumption like? looking at XJR, S4 and Bandit as possible 2A bikes.

Other members just need to comment on fuel consumption if u know.thanx, i don't want to cog up the BanditV thread with endless chatter.

I manage to click until 270++km last week before switching to reserve. Front tire 29psi, rear tire 36psi.

So that would give me approx 21.6km per litre of petrol.
