Hi guys... just got myself a black '98 T509.

Was wondering if there's anyone else in SBF who has the same ride... Maybe can meet up some day to share opinions... tips... tuning... etc etc...

Say hi if you see me!

It's a almost-900cc naked bike... made by Triumph from England. The characteristic of this bike is that it has only 3 cylinders, inline.

Most bikes would be inline-4, v-twin, v-four, single-cylinder, etc... but this 3-cylinder is supposed to have the torque of a twin (almost) and the topspeed of an inline-four (almost also).

So far, since i'm one who obey the road laws (haha) i only go abt 110-115kmh on expressways, and i stick to the speed limits on normal roads, streets, trunk roads, etc...

to me, no point getting a letter from TP for riding fast on the road... objective is to arrive safely and in one piece, not in record-breaking times, and fearing a hidden speed trap somewhere!

welcome to the world of Triumph.

The Speed TRiple is indeed a unique looking bike.

REally not many here. the alloy frame is really eyecatching and unmistakeably a work of art in motorcycle design.

I also ride a Triumph but not sports model.

Hope your thread gets livelier.

See you on the roads.

Say hi if you see me!

Hi, can post a pic of your bike so that we can see how it looks like?

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.

Ok then, I'll take some pics when I'm off duty this Sunday, and post them up.

By the way, I just took a look online at the new Sprint ST ABS, and I think it blows me away... what a machine!

the coolest things about it in my opinion is the frame, the fat forks and the distinctive twin headlights. very streetfighter indeed!
