Hi guys,

Just want to check if my clutch plate or housing got problems. I put bike on mainstand then clutch in and engage to gear 1.

Next I pull throttle and my rear wheel spin like as if I never clutch in. I realized this when lubing my chain.

But when I ride it feels normal, bike will still move at half clutch. Only thing it's hard to shift to neutral when stationary..

Should I service or replace the clutch plates/housing?

I think that is normal. Usually i check if need to replace plates by clutching in and there's this shattering metal sound. At first i dunoe, but i just happy happy change, and in fact it is the prob. But mech told me can qait awhile more but im taking no chances. Lol....

guys so if we are from neutral changing to gear 1 and the loud 'tak' sound is heard its because of the clutch??

so need to change the clutch plates???

And for the clutch springs..heard of aftermarket springs..is it worth the try or stay stock the best???

no idea mate. can't help you on that. i haven't seen it physically before. but don't worry. its a common problem. don't think anybody has changed it before

When touring, its usually the rider that give way first before the bike itself.

got box got tour.
