the bloody taxi driver even claim he did not make any u turn..just goin straight..

where the position of his taxi show he is making u turn.

did not bother to help me get up wen i m stuck under the bike

 

just my luck to be behind a taxi!!

Did the police come down?

 

Hopefully the taxi did not move nor did you move your bike. For every accident... there is always an Investigating Officer (IO) assigned. They will come down.. take pictures of the position of the vehicles after the collision.. measure any skid marks if any to determine the estimated speed. It with these information they can form a picture of the before and after of the accident.

 

This was exactly what happened when I had that accident. The IO came to the hospital to get a statement from me... and she told me that preliminary investigations at the scene indicated that the taxi did the illegal right turn that caused the accident.

 

If you both had moved the vehicles... it is down to your words against his.

And taxi drivers are such lying bustards!!!

police did come down.. but i guess after i was convey to hospital....

the tp got said to my dad , from what he sees the taxi indeed make an illegal u turn although he never admit it.

 

the SIO onli called me to fax all the relevant documents to her...

no need to come down to make statement..she said she will let me noe of the results asap...

Check with trash2limit. He had a race fairing before he sold off his bike to the late biker.

Any chance your pipe got damaged? Maybe can get a Akra pipe or something.

The pipe I am thinking of getting:

 

Racing exhaust reach max noise of 102dB with baffle removed.

 

LTA requires:

 

a) Certification from the product manufacturer stating that the proposed aftermarket exhaust system is suitable for the make and model of the vehicle.

b) Certifications or test reports from independent test laboratories such as TUV, DEKRA, JVIA, VCA etc. to show that the aftermarket exhaust system when fitted to the vehicle on a per make and model basis complied with prevailing exhaust emission standards.

 

There is no mention of noise level for LTA approval. Yet some posts I have read says TP will catch if baffle is removed from pipe.

 

Unless removing baffle is considered modification, which I don't think so, it's a dual feature pipe with 2 modes of operation.

I saw him strip a GoldWing till the frame is left, and then assembled everything back. Also saw him rebuilt a few bikes from spare parts. Unfortunately his shop will be closed soon at the end of this month.

 

He's nice to talk to and very passionate about bikes. Must go down and drink beer and smoke with him before he closes shop.
