how much will that cost by changing both of the coil and flywheel?

do i need to change the flywheel too if im changing the coil?

or just the coil enough is good

Your best bet is to replace both flywheel and coil...

VTECR1 / Korno, we have 2 outings this weekend. One is the usual Sat night makan session. We usually meet at 8pm @ GP Esso.

The other is this Sunday @ KKFC 12pm, to support WW & his wonder friends in their endeavour to promote biking.

Rommel, who is EVO3883?

i would suggest you check with them 1st

1) how long for stocks to arrive

2) if you get the coil from other source, will they warranty the coil if you purchase the flywheel from them once the stocks arrive(most likely no since coil is not theirs)

if yes, go get the coil now :)

if no, either wait for bs stocks OR get recoiled piece from mah @ $150(if i remember correctly)

this only my suggestion :)

Not to beat on Honda or anything, but I have seen a CBR1000RR in the same condition from a lowside.

I have seen another CBR1000RR tweak its subframe badly and crack a frame mount from the slider bearing the impact of what looks like mild lowside.

I have seen G1K6 completely crack at the main frame.

I have seen a new model Fazer 1 cleanly and completely break apart at the mainframe and break a engine mount. It did not even tweak its fork from any significant frontal impact or appear to be hit from behind.

Seen all these bikes up close and in person. The frame weakness issue is real for any make of new generation sportbikes, suddenly 1st party insurance seems like a good idea again.

Hahaha. Beagle also said he would get me 6 items from Dainese if he lost the bet. On top of that, he wanted me to throw in my Harry Potter glasses. Too much man.

In other news, here’s a lady’s opinion on Brutale riders.

Hey XXX, that was the opinion of a motoring journalist who test rode it in Italy. I'll take his word for it since he rides a Brutale. I have not personally tried it but there are tonnes of great reviews on the internet regarding the bike so it would be interesting to find out... I'm afraid I can't let you live with the MMM for 2 weeks. It's the only test bike available and it'll be making its rounds amongst the motoring journalists since we need all the publicity we can get. Hence the ESPN shoot. I could let you do a test ride soon and you can let me know your comments before we proceed. Cheers,YYY

The moral of the story is, women will believe anything you say if you ride a Brutale.

Beagle, maybe you should get one. Then your other half will allow you to come riding with us.

There was once this Gixxer rider was going out with his gf to a hotel for buffet. On the way back, they hit a puddle and the frame cracked in two.

Suzuki refused to provide warranty because they’re total weight exceeded the maximum recommended passenger weight. Maybe the rider and pillion are really like elephants. I don’t know enough to comment.

The coil issue is a widespread issue for the Blade. You hear everyone talking about it.

But you don’t hear people talking about the coil issue on the Gixxer, just the frame. This is not to say frames on other bikes do not crack, but perhaps it is just more widespread on the Gixxer, or perhaps Gixxer riders are just more aggressive because the bike is easy to ride hard and fast.

Throttlestop also said he has seen a Gixxer flip over at Sepang, but the frame did not crack.

Truth be told, Beagle did play a part in my decision of not getting the K7. He kept telling me how ugly the bike is everytime I bring up the subject. I couldn’t stand his nagging anymore. :giddy:

OK, you Fellowship of sissy-a s sed riders, gay boys and chunks of smelly meat, you all know there’s a meetup this Sunday 12pm at KKFC. Lend me your Blades.

My phone acted up while mass spamming, so I’m not sure who did or did not receive them so I’m just gonna put it here.

The last time we did this was when we met Raptor for the 1st time. Then we were all moving to 2nd link together. All FireBlades, so garang, drivers who saw us coming, all moved to a side. Bring your camers, video cameras and shoot something memorable. Time to make another music video? I also invited the retired Bladers, it'll be nice to see everyone again.

We'll all meet somewhere and ride there together.

We will have clinic sessions, to share with you a wealth of information on this bike. There usually isn't many local events like this, so don't miss this the opportunity.

About the Coil Problem... My mechanics has told me about it design prob, as long as ur idiling is above 1000rpm or 1200rpm (can't remember), and u MUST WARM UP UR BIKE... force warm up will spoilt it...

vrooooom, another round, never slow down

Knock'em down in .01 seconds

Let's leave our mark here and disappear to the next group

The loser's left crawling on the ground in a cloud of dust

The wannabes are all talk, They just get in the way so let's ignore'em

We takes off, beyond the street

Only den they'll know!
