About the Coil Problem... My mechanics has told me about it design prob, as long as ur idiling is above 1000rpm or 1200rpm (can't remember), and u MUST WARM UP UR BIKE... force warm up will spoilt it...

Congratulations on your new purchase!

But Garfield, I'm one of the most meticulous person here, and I always do a proper warm up before moving off. I think most of us do. One retired Blader, Ken gave me the same "expert" advise and practised the doctrine, I couldn't stop laffin when his coil burnt. :cheeky:

VTECR1, I'm thinking of meeting at the taxi stand of the attached pic.

Just came back from JB. These days, the weather is sooo nice. Cloudy and windy at the same time and non humid. Perfect weather for touring. If we don't organize another long trip soon, we may not experience this kind of nice weather.

After Suntec carpark entrance, go further down a bit and make a u turn, that's where Millenia Tower is.

Map here.

Beagle, why don't you come to JB tonight and ask if they want dim sum. I am fine with anything. If not, can have a summit after the meet. About 7 to 8 bikes tonight.

LDH, I think if you see a group of 1000RR bikes, should be us, no need to wear pins. :cheeky:

just read the mcn review of the 07 models that are already out... the blade is the choice of the best road bike... hmm... but hoping that the test which includes the k7 g1000 will be more challenging for the blade.

Shark, sure will not bully you.

Saufi, good luck. I think they open at 8am, if not, definitely at 9am.

Newsflash! Read all about it!

Team Woopa Saves The Night

In what was to be a romantic evening in JB for 2 lovebirds on a RVF, it almost turned into disaster when the rear tire of the bike suffered a puncture.

Fortunately for the young couples, the incident happened on the night where the sissy-a s s ed Firebladers meet up for their weekly makan outing.

Naturally, everyone was bending over, checking one another's bottom to look for worms to plug the hole on the punctured tyre. None could be found because everyone's bottom was reamed clean that night. Nevertheless, they still enjoyed bending over for one another. It was a marvelous sight to behold.

Because Ronal McDonald installed a BBQ pit at the back of his VFR, everyone assumed he has a tyre repair kit. And right everone was. Ronald McDonald quickly whipped out his small mushroom type repair kit, proceeded with shaky hands to plug the hole. None of us had experience with the mushroom type repair kit, and Eldo was quickly unimpressed with Ronald's vigourous screwing technique and proceeded to try it himself ... to no avail. The instructions did not help much.

Fortunately for everyone, Tashi, ahem, with his methodological approach, managed to figure out how to work it, the puncture was repaired in no time.

:cheeky:

Throughout the ordeal, Bridgestone's Distributor's Son was heard mumbling, "he should've bought tyres from my father".

The night was saved, and Team Woopa sincerely hopes the guy gets to score with the girl tonight.

Yo, check out with my mechanic... he said that idiling do not less den 1000RPM, DO NOT WARM UP ur bike too long... dun let the temperature go over 70... this will prevent the coil from being Under Load or Over Load. he told me design prob is because 04 model was the prototype that only tested in Japan Track... so when the bike is running over 180 km/h plus the japan temperature is so LOW, hence they over looked the prob... only den 05 got Significant changes... my mechanic also advise me that if ur coil is burnt, change the whole set not only the coil itself, include the rectifier etc... cost around $700.

So what do u guys think

personally i trust my mechanic alot cause he does really a good job in maintaining my RxZ, he does a full service for $65

Others might think expensive, but to me its worth lor, he take out the whole piston block etc and clear everything.

vrooooom, another round, never slow down

Knock'em down in .01 seconds

Let's leave our mark here and disappear to the next group

The loser's left crawling on the ground in a cloud of dust

The wannabes are all talk, They just get in the way so let's ignore'em

We takes off, beyond the street

Only den they'll know!

Need to be careful at 2nd link yeah bros... I suffered a puncture 2 weeks ago just before the Malaysian tol. Luckily was near GP. In future, I think it's advisable to buy the repair kit..
