RC, I've been using only Ultra on my 06 after running in with mineral oil. No complaints so far.

Usually I buy the parts from FJT and go to a shop and pay for labour to get them changed.

 

I remember someone was going to experiment the difference between 5w40 and 5w50, any results to share? Was it Din?

 

One trick is, to keep the gear shifting smooth, make sure all joints on the left pedal shift is cleaned with Wd40. On the 06 model especially, the chain lube with sand gets flung there. That is why, when you look at my bike, it's got a "sanitary pad" which I use to catch the "flow". Everytime I wash the bike, it gets a fresh pad.

Also, which are the more "hassle free" / bolt-on flush mount signal lights I can purchase locally? I would rather not splice the OEM wires if I can help it haha.

u can try motor factor to get the engine oils. usually u need to do a bit of rewiring.

turn 1) 3.8km --> Exit at Gelang Patah Exit

turn 2) 2.9km --> Traffic Light T-junction turn right (GP town & Petronas is on ur left)

turn 3) 6.9km --> T-junction. Turn right (small town, police station about 100m before T-junction on ur left)

turn 4) 3.7km --> Traffic light T-junction. Turn left (newly build empty 2-story shop units on ur left)

turn 5) 2.2km --> Traffic light T-junction. Turn right (many houses on both sides)

turn 6) 1.4km --> T-junction (Jusco Tmn-U is opposite). Turn left (this 1.4km is a L-bend road)

turn 7) 250m --> Traffic light T-junction. Turn right then left into Petronas (Petronas is to ur right) A&W is in the station

Finally this morning i had my EO changed at Planet,

my regular place for past 11 years

Ah chong kinda shocked to see me finaly changing bike

sad to see a similar FY plate cbr1000 there.....
