Halo Guys, long time no come in.

Hi, raptor, welcome to the FireBladers.

Just in case u might not notice, think the arrow pipe is slunt to the left side. If u wan a slip on, i dun think u can do without a PC. I m very interested in running my bike in the hot sun like in the morning, have u invented one for our bike yet? superly interested u noe.

think it will be very beneficial on track bah. Another guy here should be very interested too if u succeed. hahaha. U usually do what DIY service to ur bike? Got torque wench? Can change oil together boh?

Tashi is very particular on bikes and his labtop. He can still sense the ass smell who sit on his bike some 8 months ago.. lol.

Outing? Tashi intiate outing often.

Just add ur number in the list and prepared to hear,"Hello, wan petrol?"

Jerry, the repair is quite okie. but i was very fustrated when i wanna take my bike, the bike cant get started, the poor guy got to troubleshoot few hours for me as i do the voltage stabilizer at the same time, turn out the guy who fixed the thing on my bike left a connector loose.. after fixing the thing, i somehow felt that more vibration from the handle bar, thus i bought the heavier balancer and solved it. I cant believe that by just repairing a head fairing and a voltage stabilizer could somehow affect the handle bar vibration. maybe its something else, but when i bring the bike there, it was not like that... engine also sound that tiny bit different. its the 2nd time i go there on bike thing and i m not a very satisfied customer though.

What wax are u using now? heard that u got a good wax, wanna see for myself. when washing bike? hehehe.

Mine when stock is 152.65 @ 108.50RPM, 80.41 @ 85.20RPM.

i took out my cat, add a pc, bmc street air filter, block off plate(highly reccomended).

It become 158.98 @ 111.80RPM, 81.49 @ 87.60RPM.

After that i add the fuel catalyst intro by tashi and felt the bike got more torque as it can transform the 2nd link esso F1 into sg VPower, but at the same time, the fuel consumption increased. Maybe due to the increased in octane level to the fuel. Just like the 98 lasting more than the V power.

Reaching 18,000km, i can feel the crack on both side with left side lesser. Tashi, i know why right side got more damage liao, cos our oil filter is on the right side thus need to remove and fixed back right middle fairing more.

Hi there Ken, thanks for the welcome. I am among my own kind now.

Anyway I did not get the Arrow, I just put on the Yoshi at Motorworld today.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jerry for the first time. Too bad I recognised his bike and the number plate confirmed it, before I noticed him, didn't want to say it to his face though... hahahaha. But jokes aside, it was a pleasure to meet you, Jerry. :thumb: :thumb:

But thanks to Jerry's photos that he posted in the thread for me to see.... of his bike portraying the Yoshi he put on... it was one of the factors that influenced me to change the pipe of choice.

With regards to the water induction thingy,,, it can be easily done on a carburetted bike coz I made use of the tap off points for balancing the carbs as the suction point for water to enter. 4 hoses to 4 carbs to a regulator valve and down to a water container. The low pressure created when the engine is running will draw the water into the intakes. Guess you could call it water induction and not water injection, to be technically correct.

With the fuel injected machines of today... quite difficult leh, although I do not see it as impossible, just need to tap in to the inlet manifolds thats all. Mebbe someday when my bike is older I might try this stunt again.

Is Motorworld the favourite haunt of the CBR1000RRs??

Mebbe should make it a Saturday afternoon rendesvous point, for photo taking perhaps?? Hmmmm... like a tea dance?? Or a gathering of CBR1000RR exhaust holes connosieurs???

Yo Jerry!

I went back again to Motoworld today to complete the paperwork and brought the bike for inspection and now have the paperwork done.

The Yoshimura and my bike are now legally married. Finally they can be seen together and will not be charged for khalwat. :lovestruck: :thumb:

After the inspection... I went to Looi's Motor to hand them a duplicate of my Log card so that they can get for me the Honda warranty from Boon Siew which they will send by mail to me. My bike came from Boon Siew.

I asked Meng Tong if there was a need for me to put on a PC. He asked me if the bike was now running hotter than normal. If it was I would need to remap the fuel injection but if it was not... there was no need.

He then pointed to an R1 which had twin Arrow pipes on it. He said the bike was overheating coz the mixture is now too lean due to the pipes. The guy is actually riding around with the silencer removed!! I guess if he puts back the silencer its gonna sound quieter than his stock pipes. But by removing them... his fuel mapping is too lean. Now he is stuck in between the devil and the deep blue sea.

Silencer out - TP attracted. Silencer in - might as well stick to stock standard.

I sure am glad I fitted the Yoshi.

I find that the bike now pulls much better from 1000 to 3000 rpm. I do not have any misses or hesitation through the midrange.

Shiok is too mild a word to describe the Yoshi on the bike. The exhaust note that comes on after passing 3000 rpm is orgasmically delightful to the ears.

Haha, no wonder u seldom ride on road, frankly if u saw a TP with ur arata, what will u do huh?

When i went seng kwang that time to take out my cat, i was sweating all over u noe, urs might just be the 2nd 1000rr after mine to go there. Guess what they claim for charging high price for the job, it's hard to take out the pipe, cos they took around 2 hours to drop the pipe only. but cant blame them oso as they are not specialized in this. How fast they took to drop ur pipe?

btw, care to review why u choose arata in the 1st place? then ur arata mid pipe got put on when go track boh? guess not rite, cos will be super troublesome to put mid pipe rite.

i tml will go for a 2pm track session if no rain. anyone will be free to go?

U guys are making me very tempted to change pipe too leh, but no money leh.

Edwin, is there a lot of difference between our stock brake and ur brembo brake in biting feel and braking distance?

well..I was looking for a full race full system and I dun wan arrow so I chose Arata. I will remove the custom mid pipe and the stock end can and put in the Arata mid pipe and end can when track days. it is not very trublesome to put the mid and end can up as the Arata and the custom mid pipe that I did is quick release with spring hooks. the trublesome part is to remove the whole tail section.

it only took me 15 mins to remove the Arata end can and mid pipe when I was at Seng kwang.

As for the Brake pump. Yes it does make a diff as I can brake later than the stock pump when going into corners as this means braking distance is shorter.

You were rite on the tyres man. if not for u, i would have sticked to the 190 rear.

I notice that i can go lower with 180. Wonder how it feels on 190/55. So is the master pump universal like when i change bike to other brands, it can also go with it, or it is like for honda only then can only go on honda or specific model? I would like to get the master pump first then others, but provided i got money lah. hahaha.

I met a rider from motorsales riding K1 with AP master pump and dun noe what brake disc, very special brake disc. Is AP much better than brembo? think he said it cost something like $1.2k, thats double of brembo. The difference between 20/19 and 19/18? I remember that review of this 2 types is 20/19 just require little tab and the 19/18 is like our stock brake need more finger power but have same level of bite as 20/19. Pls advice. thanks.

the brake pump is universal. any bike also can fix. as for the tyre, 190/55 has more contact patch the 180/55..

my brembo brake pump is 20/19 and yes AP is a more expensive however brembo got a few grades. if you want, u can do some research and you will know. the one that I am using is the brembo after-market most basic model. they also have the high end model which cost a lot more also.

well if you want a good braking power it is not only the brake pump.. the brake pads and rotor is also very important and it also depends on what is your needs cos brake pads and rotor got diff for different usage and performance.

alamak, too many things liao lah.

damm headache.

see when strike toto, then i decide to change lah, hahaha.

i remember reading something that some track records is still hold by some oldies racer from 70s and 80s and still not broken by current riders, wonder how true is it? anyone can confirm? i remember it says that rider of that era only got powerful engine and nothing else. very much depends on the rider skills. the report oso indicate that BT012 is stickier than the tyres of that era. can imagine our current bike is the super super super bike to them.

maybe it is just like wars nowadays is not fight by soldiers but by a few buttons.

Do u mean that ur brembo is better than the stock is becos it is 20/19 as stock is 16/15 and they are at the same basic range?

i had problem on turn5 as it is a downslope and everytime when i try to speed, the brake like wanna give way like that under hard braking before turn in, felt insecure. turn 1 oso. before turn 3 oso need good braking if speeding pass turn 2... before chi cane oso, wah so many!!! let me tio toto to buy brakes bah~~

anyway, will be going down tml or should i say today again.

any takers?

yes indeed brembo aftermarket brake pump of 20/19 is better than stock 16/15.

what you mean like giving way? under very hard braking? or you are sliding alot when you brake?

like when a disc is turning very fast n u try to clamp it hard with ur both hands and it will have a repelling force to ur hands like that. i can feel it under hard braking, wonder is it the same even for a 20/19?
