My NSR 150 SP 30km/L = 100-120km/hr everytime.

Valve setting only open after 8000rpm and opens only 60% to High

I rode a number of bikes b4, these are the FCs which I can remember em:

 

- tzm150: 20km/L

- wave125: 40km/L

- cb400: 19km/L

- kr150: 22km/L

- rd125: 21km/L

- wr2: 17km/L

- spark135: 30km/L

- gsxr400: 17km/L

- rxz135: 25km/L

 

Most of my bikes fuel consumption is bad. Not the bikes fault. Juz my right hand's.

ps:

i always tell uncle sam tat i'm not fast but bike wants to fly, in end, gone.

now riding full size bike with small engine.

no more speeding fine, no more demerit points. ;)

That mega engine's torque and the excellent busa aero can make it more efficient on the highways.

 

It's like Toyota Prius vs BMW M3 on the autobahn at 100mph.

 

The M3's V8 is actually more economical at speed than the little 1.3L revving itself to bits.

Full tank 9.5litres - max 380km.

 

So good? The 250 version I owned in Australia was about 25-26km/l, same as my current ride :sian:

Yup! Very good indeed. Bought in 1992 and still using it now. Although the engine is less powerful and move much slower nowadays. Great fuel consumption.

Phantom TA200 after 4 months of DIY tuning: 47-50km/l.

 

That's it, I've maxxed it out for now with all stock parts and some very low cost enhancements to engine efficiency.

 

How did I achieve that?

 

Simple - the stock Phantom's gearing forces the RPM to rise sky high. The 1 cylinder single overhead cam with 2 valves and no VVT is fantastically inefficient at high revs. Convert it into a low RPM, high torque motor and reap the benefits of the interference valve setup for that sky-high FC figure. As for pickup... get some custom sprockets and ride forever at peak torque. Pulls like crazy!
