it was happen last friday along fort canning road towards oxley rise,just behind park mall and YWCA at about 0545pm, while i was riding my black super 4 on the right lane one white mini bus make a sharp turn from left lane to the right placing his vehicle horizontally blocking two lane.i had no where to turn but collide onto the bus, the bike was seriously damaged, my friend and i was badly injured. the bus diver admitted his fault and promise to pay for everything but after hearing that the cost of the repaire is too ex he refuse to pay and say its not all his fult,as his clooeague is there as his witness, i am very angry with him and as well as very upset as am still a student and i have no way to pay for the repare fee and worst thing my exam is next week and my left hand was injured! if any one of you happen to pass by and witness this pleace contact me at 90075998.

xhui, since you were injured, did you make any police report? Imediately after the accident, did you get the bus driver to sign a written agreement (with all details) stating that he will pay for your damages?

 

I hope you have at least one of the above. Otherwise, it will be quite hard to make him by legal means, pay you.

 

 

If he says his collegue was there as a witness, then you can say your injured friend is your witness.

Have you reported this case to your insurance company? It is very important to do so as like in your case the driver backs out. He can change his story too. If your hand is injured, go hospital to check it out. If you get 3 or more days MC, it is considered TP case already. Dun worry about the repair costs, you should be fortunate that you both are alive. Get a lawyer to fight for damages.

i make the report the next day, cos he nv sign anything.i ask him to come back to sign while in the hospital but he tell me dun worrie just tell me how much the the repaire of bike the next day,then when i tell him the following day he say its too ex , '' u go report lo,too ex alr'i may not lose i got witness and u dun have somemore is going to be 24hrs''. wat the f** sia ,i straight away go get 1 more day of mc and make the police report

Based on your statement, I believe both will kena 6 points and fine. Your speed was too fast, that is why you cannot react in time. Anyway dun worry, juz be fortunate that you are alive. 6 points only, very fast will clear one...its not like a criminal record.

 

Anyway just to inform you that even if you ask the driver to sign on a piece of paper, it will not be valid in court. You will need a lawyer to do that. They can claim that you sign under his name. Unless you have police (neutral party) there to sign as a third person, which they will not do so.

MOST IMPT: Take picture of the accident scene and vehicle. If got witness, ask for their name and number. People tend to change story after a few days and toking to frens.

 

If got injury, call 995, confirm TP Case. Both cannot siam. Then will need to report to Insurance Agent. Also need to make police report within 24hrs. This one need to do first. No ambulance, no TP case. No 3 days MC, no TP case.

 

If wan private settlement, do it on the spot...if you give driver to think, confirm he will back out (even if you give him 1 day to think). Do remind them repair costs will be > $1k. Bike mah, all components in the open, unless minor damages.

 

If really his fault, you can approach you bike shop for help. Claim against his insurance lor, using bike shop lawyer. Will need to wait long for the money, but no need to take out money for repairs (Most shop).
