Once u got d bike..check the following before u bring it back..

Check if the lights are all working.. nEUTRal light, signal light and so on.

Check if the rpm meter working.

Check the brakes.

If can ask to service the carb once.. and change to a new battery.. coz sumtimes 2nd hand bikes.. if too long at shop.. can give problems wen u bring back..

basic stuffs is to check outlook of the bike first impact areas when fall like balancers, fairing(look in btw the fairing joints any gaps), exhaust bottom

Engine wise rev the bike abit at neutral and rev the bike at neutral clutch in, maintain the throttle abit see if the engine rev goes smoothly, close throttle hear the engine rev down.

lastly tied down with the bikes u feel is alright, full breakdown of the bikes like insurance, interest rate, transfer, machine. after they calculate everything u cal back again make sure there isnt any gimmicks in btw. double confirm with them when putting deposit or downpayment saying watever u stated here is the price im paying anything more u wont care. as shops can say there is no agreement fees, nor admin charge but last min they can change anytime de.

IMO...

if can, ask the mech to "open" up the below portion of the engine. (coil area)

(If i'm wrong correct me ok..?)

cus that time i bought the cub, everything working fine. I even brought along a friend who used to own a cub.

then after a week of riding the engine started making noises.. went to JB to do a full servicing.. The mech showed me the coil, it was actually "moving" out of place. The piston was scratched too. (think due to wear and tear)

In the end, had to leave the bike there for a full overhaul.

wah damn suay.

why drink and drive when you can smoke and fly..
