wowww. I've never built a guitar, only cut the wires, took it apart and assembled it again. It was hard for me. I'm quite a technical idiot. Ahaha.

Mm I could try strapping it across next time i ride! Will update on progress. Haha.

I'm riding a honda sonic. :p I dream to ride a CBR, but no money. ):

But am growing to love my sonic. been about 1 month only!

Hmmm...it's actually quite easy if you're talking about an electric guitar. Cos it's basically all about the electronics. The wood will depend on how anal you are about sound. Don't go use ply wood though. Tune one time the neck will snap. ahaha.

I actually thought of building one too. Then I think, think, I'm actually quite anal about wood (no pun there), then thought of building one. Count, count. F it. Might as well just buy one. But I already had one so didn't. hahaha.

I think somewhere in indo you can customize what you want. Not that ex too. Just tell them wat design, what style and they do for u.

The three of us were looking it up on the net and were surprised by how 'uncomplicated' it is to build one. All we need now are materials and a good plan.

Why not just buy the parts and then get the electronics you need and install them. So much easier.

yeah, especially from Warmoth. Maybe Fritz's friend has specific requirements such as left handed guitar, specific scale length, type of wood, depth of cutaway, etc......

Can think of a lot of different methods of customising, just like Harleys :cheeky:

Coooollll .. just came across this thread ... a Biker and A Musician .... great hobby combi ..

wah so long no one touch this thread .. but its ok .. just want to share ...

I played the drum ... since I was 8 ... It was my CCA .. then stretched into secondary school ... was a MAT ROK .. then there was silence ...

then, in 2008, after more than 20 years ... got a few kakis and formed a band ... created some songs, n we played our own music ... Literature Rockers or Rok Puitis ... hihihihihhihi ... this is a personal hobby k

In 2008 I went into serious biking too .. hobby still, but never on race track .. just ride .. n ride ... n ride to thailand ... with my blackbird..

Now, me still with percussion ... with a new band .. playing world music (Earth Modes Sanskrit) .. but upgrade a bit, working on independent single, n got one song in radio oredi .. hihihihihhihihihi

Guys ... music n bike ... a real fantastic combination .... ALL THE BEST GUYS !!!!!! .....

In life, there are important decisions that you have to make.

I chose to ride ... And I chose to Ride Hard and Ride Safe ... On a BLACKBIRD.

Past Rides : Ali Baba (P.Ramlee period), Chopper (Disco season), BMX (ET season), Piyo-Piyo (2008-??)

Bumped into this old thread and I'm just wondering if there're anymore active music junkies here. I'm into strings. Violins, guitars, basses. =)

What's your primary instrument? Mine's still guitar

bike and guitar is always a good combi, like an axeman on an iron horseback!

hehe, thank you, but I still can't quite see why bike and guitar always a good combi. Usually it's some badass chopper and electric guitars. I still don't know why

No, you don't have to go through school and start from grade 1 exam. Big waste of money. Learning from theory cheaply, learn it online and find friends to teach you for free.

Sorry to sound mean, but to learn to read scoresheets, you can learn it online, but to learn to play, best get instructor to monitor your progress. Don't worry about exams for now. Take exams when it's needed professionally or at least academically, when you really study it.

I learn piano 1st and I had a myriad of instructors, from my mom's friends to community centre to my university graduate friends. Through them, I've learn how to read scoresheet but I still haven't quite figure out how to play properly.
