This was what happened to me last week on east coast park, i was bbq with my one of my friend with a small bbq tray.. 2 NParks rangers (i think) came up to us. Told me that i was not supposed to bbq, and ask for my ic issued me a ticket.

 

The next day i straight away email to them for appeal. On my email i say to them this is my first offence and are very sorry hope that they really can give me a chance and waive off the summon. in future if I’m planning to having a bbq at ECP i will sure apply permit for the commissioner bababa....

 

Guess what few days later, they reply me back, say that they are unable to waive the above Notice of Offence and composition fine $200.... even i called them up they still cant do anything not even waive half of it...

 

I know that bbq need to book from axs machine but i was thinking that only two of us maybe a small bbq tray bought at 7/11 @ ecp will do but end up have to pay $200. Really really very angry because $200 is really TOO MUCH , onli a small bbq tray and is my 1st offence. i found that they are very heartless.

 

 

1. why ntuc/cheers/cold storeage/seven-eleven are selling all those bbq stuff tray?

 

2. why don the rangers summon the 7/11 at east coast first bec they are the one who selling the bbq tray to us???

U knew tat its an offence to bbq without a permit and u deleberately did it taking risk .. So juz accept ya miztake and pay while promising not to repeat the offence again lor .. Learn from mistakes and theres a first time to everything ..

If you're talking about those aluminium trays, they are not even meant to be used for barbequeing food, so don't be ridiculous and blame the convenience store.

 

It's like saying TP should fine the carmakers for producing cars that can go above legal speed limits instead of people who speed.

 

By the way, those trays are meant to store food that has already been barbequeued on a proper pit. Yes, a lot of people use them as ghetto pits, but that doesn't mean that that's the original purpose.

Actually......if you got the licence/permit.

 

Then its up to you what you use at the BBQ pit. The park rangers wont borther what you use on the BBQ pit. Your own creation, purchased ones or even if you bought your house wok to use there.

got the green light by my family to get my bike license, which i am doing right now... talked to them today over dinner as to when i could get my bike.... i was thinking later this year when i save up enough $$.... my elder sister on the other hand is thinking 2 and a half years from now in 2012.... i think its stupid for me to get my license now and not be able to use it... besides, road experience is important... i dont want to wait close to 3 years, get my dream bike, only to die in an accident because i have zero road experience....

Went to book 2A test date today... Earliest is 11 August. I always thought 2A was very fast. Now even though I started the very first day my 2B hit one year, looks like a long wait.

1. Haven't due for taking Class 2. Have to wait next month.

 

2. Not enough cash to upgrade a Class 2 bike yet and have to wait earliest till next year.

 

3. Can't overtake ALL the cars I want to on the NSH

I have never ridden a two stroke bike before and one with such a small size and cc before.

 

Handling is different and there is no engine braking when you downshift and the feathering of the clutch to maintain the rpms in the powerband.

 

All totally new to me.
