[K][E];5678502']Hello, just want to ask you guys I recently went into this jurong point carpark during 345am. The entrance barrier for the carpark ( bikes ) was a "open way" for it. So i thought it was free for motors, you see. But the exit they have a "pole" placing beside the barrier meaning my bike can't pass through it. Then when i want to exit the carpark, i went into the opposite way to exit and just then a security guard chased after me and yelling. At first I thought he was a shopper and maybe he misunderstood me by doing whatever things to his car/motor so i ignored and drove off. But i made a U-turn back cause i thought he was asking for assistant or whatsoever. And i did not do anything well, even if i do i was only making my way out by driving the opposite side of the road of the carpark. When i was back there, he said : '' you got no money to pay 80cents for the car park is it ? " But i told him i thought it was free for motors for the carpark. AND HE NEVER EVEN ASKED ME TO PAY FOR THE ENTRANCE FEE WHEN I MADE AN U-TURN BACK ! But i suggested of going in the carpark to pay then come out again. He said nevermind i will sent your motor plate number to the LTA. I was speechless so i drove back home. But at the first place why didn't the shopping mall stated more clearly about parking for the motors ?.

 

So i need some help here, just want to check with you guys. What will i get for parking my motor in the mall without paying ? How much will i fine for it ? And will my demerit points be deduct ?

Private car park shouldn't be under LTA jurisdiction..... maybe the car park charges and some admin fee from that operator will come..

Nope, I was not referring to the Super 4 although I can lift that up too. I was referring to the CB750 though...

 

Wah! I think for me... Harleys will be very difficult for me to handle. Just looking at Harley riders do their U-turns, I really take my hat off them!

 

CB 750? That's even heavier!

 

If I still had my Harley, I can teach you how to do a 2-lane u-turn. The trick is do it smooth. For those who are using apehangers, I salute them. I don't know how they do it.

 

Try lifting a full-faired sportbike which has tipped over.

 

 

... and since the fairing is curved, the tyres are lifted off the ground.

 

Try lifting that up off the tarmac while trying to minimize fairing scuff. :lol:

 

 

That's more difficult and traumatic for the owner than lifting up any heavy Harley or CB750.

omg..so u did something wrong, but everyone makes mistakes what..he dun have to be such an ******* about it =s

 

speaking of carpark woes..ion orchard charges bikes FOUR DOLLARS per ENTRY =x found that out only when exiting..

..cars are worse tho..something like $7.50 to park 1 hr there (entry+1hr parking fee)

 

I never drive or ride into Orchard road, always take the MRT, save all the trouble queing and finding parking lot

I hate it when I walk into a shop and the sales people ask me "Can I help you ?".

What do you people do or say when ask this question?

Keep quiet and continue browsing their goods? ignoring them totally

Or smile and keep quiet and continue browsing, also ignoring them

Or smile and look at them and reply, ( but reply what? )

 

As a sales people, what do you expect potential customers to reply when you ask " Can I help you? "

You expect them to ignore you and continue browsing?

You expect them to smile and continue browsing?

You expect them to " Reply " ( again reply what? " )

 

The potential customer have not even see the displayed product and sales people ask this " Can I help you? " question, what do you expect the customer to reply?

 

As a sales people, you have to face many customer.

But as a potential customer, they also have to face so many sales people especially at sales venue like computer fairs.

Potential customers also wanted to have time alone to see and check out the product first and when they are interested and have question, then they will search for the sales people to ask questions about their product.

 

Sometimes I get very pissed off when sales people immediately ask this irritating question when I walk near their display product, I have not even see their product what do they expect me to say? I want to buy 10 notebook, here is my credit card.

The same also applies to food court.

The moment you approach the stall, the staff will begins to rattles about their food, so irritating.

 

Just yesterday at a food court, I put my finger across my mouth and make a "Sheesh" sound and the staff immediately quiet down and look at me. What a funny situation

 

Aiyah, a customer come and stand in front of your stall to look at your food, just let them have some time to decides lah, rattle of what you sell for what, the customer is not blind

I'll just reply, I think I can manage on my own... & sometimes I'll just reply, Im just browsing...

 

AND!! the most irritating part is when u just step in the shop and if u make an eye contact with the sales person.. In a spilt second they will be right beside you and of coz the famous "May I help you"

quite true, sometimes they see ppl face also, most of the time i feel tat they see me like cannot afford the products, i dulan i walk off, if this kinda see face and serve attitude continues, confirm the shop no business, cos those who seems rich might not buy anything rather than those who are really interested but pi55ed off by the sales attitude.

 

earlier in the evening i kena liao, i see the stuffs quite cute wanna buy but sales attitude not even a bit of standard,doesn't suit their smart attire at all, few hundred dollars macham scared ppl cannot afford:dozed:

i read that rubbing vickers rub on the bottom of your feet & covering with socks before going to sleep helps cure coughing

 

dunno if it work as I never try before. but if nothing works for u, perhaps it's worth a try since it's inexpensive.

what's bugging me .........

 

my "new" bike.

took it over from a childhood friend who lives a few blocks away.

i'm just the subrider of the bike due to parents disapproval.

 

1 -

 

at first he ask for 500. then up 700 because of the insurance. okay nevermind. then after buying my insurance, he asked me to top up 1k. claims that his father "scold him for letting go of his bike so cheap"

 

2-

 

before getting his bike, he told me that his installments are left with around 12 months. only when making payment at NTUC, then he said that he didnt realize that he still have 18 to 19 months of installments left. WHAT .. THE .. HECK !!!!!!!!!!!!!

the sum of money that i gave him, he used it partly to service his bike. when i asked him, he sayd that he serviced the engine. what does this mean? this IS a question, coz i dont really understand by "service the engine" part.

 

4 -

 

since he already did his servicing, i thought everything is okay. until i start to ride the bike on my own. the fuel meter was faulty. nevermind, can gauge from odometer maa.

checked the condition of my bike with another friend. turns out that ....

- FORK OIL LEAKING

- CHAIN LOOSE

- SPROCKET MUST CHANGE

 

6 -

 

the bike died down on me twice today. and luckily i was few traffic lights away from home. i thought it was because i ran out of petrol. so i switched to reserve. after which, the bike slowly died on me again. and then i thought, maybe 2t finishing. slowly ride to shell. open fuel cap, inside still got petrol. check 2t, 2t still got half.

 

so i'm wondering, what other factors can cause my bike to die out?

 

and my nsr is pretty high rev. and it doesnt help that i'm travelling 100km each day to work and back.
