Hello everyone, I am looking for a Yamaha RD500LC or a Yamaha RZ500. I have not seen one on the road before but someone told me that these bikes were imported here in the 80's. I would like to own one so if you have any leads, I would sincerely appreciate any information you can give me. Hope to hear from you guys soon and many thanks in advance.

Thought I would try to bring this up again as this bike does not seem to exist anywhere in Singapore. I have been asking around and the name 'Ram" keeps on coming up. He is riding a 350 Tong I think and he may know where I can find a RZ500 or RD500. Anyone know how to get in touch with him??

hmmm...nobody can asnwer my question?...i'm sure there's someone who knows where i can get those side bags...

Hi bro, show us your bike.

I think the best bet would to go down Jalan Berseh area and shop for one. There is a hand full of shops around there, like Ah boy shop and alot motor bike shop selling alot accessories. Shop around. You can actually start from Lavender hawker centre and right up to sim lim.

If you are creative , you even can make one yourself man.....

Hope it helps.

Someone I know of used to have these whitewall paint and dunno if he still have them. I doubt whitewall paint can last cos it's white and does not go well on the more sporty Hondas, suzuki ,yamaha or Kwak imo but Harelys,Indians does.

Whitewall paint does back dated in the 50s or 60s automobile trend where higher end cars and bikes come standard with the whitewall painted tyres. My 2cts... :dot:

Hi, nice bike man. I have been looking for one of these for years. Know how many of them are still around???

Hi pinkomax, I'm the owner of the Kwaker 900r :cheeky: and fyi there's not much 900s around these days. A no. of these are exported back to Japan. I do know of a pilot who owns 2 of the 900r and I do know there's 2 of the 750r owners . So r u also riding a retro muscule bike?

Yo pinkomax, looks like u do your homework well. In standard form it is a a four into 2 black exhaust system. Previously the bike has got into some slight changes under the hands of a local computer engineer n he gave up his hobby. So I bought it over. Slowly,I got the bike back on road running and last yr the bike is lay up again due to some slight oil leakage on the left side crankcase.

So pinkomax,what's your ride now?

Hell Yeah!

Thank you for the reply desky88. I am looking for something right now as I only just got my class 2. Have not been riding in some years now but I want to start again, not on a R1 or anything like that but a vintage Japanese bike of at least 750cc. Any leads? I am looking for the early model Honda CB750 with 4 exhaust pipes or if none exist, a big Kawa like the one you have or the GPZ750/1100A1 models, the type with the meter on the tank....... do you know what I am referring to? I have also posted looking for a Yamaha RD500 or RZ500 but no leads at all. Do these old bikes exist any more????

Well, sometimes it depends on luck and fate. Alot of guys in this thread are also looking for CB750K series. Few yrs back, got the opportunity to buy a CB750K4 from Zoom'in but price was relatively high and in need of restoration so I gave up. Well, u still can opt for CB750F1 or F2 if u r lucky. These are also very gd machines.

As for Kawasaki, I can keep alookout for u.The pilot who I mentioned has two and he's letting go one of his which is a FE plate(COE renew) but only u can pay for his price. Roughly abt 4K plus. Any takers?

GPZ750/1100A1 models r air cool models if u r referring to the older half fair ones. Few yrs back, two 1100 were sold under some private owners. If I can any info, I will update u guys.

Yamaha RD500 or RZ500 still exists in S'pore. Really bang my balls for not buying a nicely done up RZV500r few yrs back. Damn ! There's quite a Handful under the careful hands of some active local collectors :sian:

So johnny ang of evershine did offer those bikes? I thought he just wanna test market cos I was so keen to take up the the turbo at that time b4 I found the GPz900r. Lucky he changed his mind and fate direct me to 2nd floor where I found my real love.:p

Btw, how much did he offer those two bikes when u enquire?

recycled2wheeler, what Z750 r u referring? 70s bike, am I right? Naked bike???

yuh loong does have a few old school bikes if u know the shop boss well.
