@oren i was riding sp before the pulsar. And yes I'm a p plater. For my sp I used to cruise around 140. That's why I feel a bit under powered. I'm not a racer btw, i usually travel at very late timings like now. That's why ride harder cause no cars.

2 days 1 time? :faint: If you do full tank for Pulsar, then the fuel meter wont move untill like 300 kms. lol.

After that the movement will start and after about 500kms it will come to half and after about 700 kms it will come closer to the red reserve mark. :cheeky:

Many of us top up our fuel in JB and it last us easily 2-3 weeks. So your savings will be even more :)

hahaha i see! so before hit reserve can last 700km eh? pretty damn impressive! i cruise around 6 rpm even at highway usually. any higher i feel the vibration den i scared piston jam or what.. getting used to the slow speed already man! anyway when my rpm is decreasing den until it hits maybe lets say below 3, there is this sound like when u start the engine. like the bike offing already. how to say ah, like when i gear 5 den i close throttle cos red light, den rpm drop but i lazy down gear. den drop drop until like 3-4, den when green light, i throttle den the pickup very shiok. but will have a like gonna engine off sound for 0.5s den ok liao. the sound is like when u start the bike den got the "eeeeeekkkkk" sound. hahaa hope u all can decode what im trying to say.kekekek

Actually JB is just like the rest of the world. You need to use your common sense and take care of your stuffs, avoid certain places at certain times.

Singapore is special and so safe that makes you feel that rest of the world is unsafe, haha.

Haha, yes thats how 4 strokes work. You need to keep changing gears depending upon the speed and make sure the RPM doesnt fall below 3K. If it falls then you will feel the knocking sound. Dont worry you will get used to it :) BTW, if you have driven manual geared cars, they also same like 4 stroke bikes. If you are in the 5th gear and you slow down too much the car will switch off.

Also dont worry about piston jam that is only in case of 2 stroke bikes, it happens if you dont put 2T oil.

For pulsar just make sure it has good quality Fully Synthetic engine oil and level is correct. Then you can rev it upto 9k RPM. No worries :cheeky:

My bike key and house key are tied to the same key chain, so if I dont take out the bike key I cant enter my house, lol.

Good to know you are safe. BTW what happened to the RXZ? I would imagine RXZ and pulsar colliding, RXZ would fly away, hehe

Im usin tis wetwipes meant for metal. It helps to shine it too..so i will juz sit down n clean e chain like hw u wud wipe ur face..hehe..best ting is..e chemical on e wipes will prevent u ftom gettib ur hands dirty n greasy. Cost $1 onli n gt 40pcs..each time clean chain n wipe exhaust all dat mebbe use up 6-7pcs onli :D

Could you post a pic please ? Where can I buy them - sounds like a great idea :thumb:

Rather than u buy tis mucoff stuff..might as well u fix ezzyoiler or diy oiler..cheaper n more cost effective ..i spent $40 on e ezzyoiler..last time i use chainlube cost $20+ n e lube is sticky..inevitably cause my chain to be dirtier. Oiler juz use cheap 2t n lubricates while u r ridin..it may splatter abit here n der but at least it easier to cleans e rims than e chain. Nt tryin to promote ezzyoiler bt if diy oiler also will have benefits

Like someone said, I don't like the look of these ezzyoilers. Too DIY looking, and too bulky, even the tiny ones. Plus, I don't think an oiler will prevent the splashing on the wheel..

anyway..i went to ahboy juz now..bought a throttle rest $4 and e handle bar brace $10. he dun have e shorter kind like wad dejaxx bought..so he gave me e scrambler brace which is abit longer. n it fits!

Could you post a pic of the brace please? I'm looking for an appropriate brace, to fix accessories safely (cam, iPhone etc) - a bit like what Alvin got.

Alright, I see what you mean. Definitely going from 140km/h to Pulsar is a change hehe :)

If you are under 36yrs, I think AXA is cheaper.

However, unless you go to an agent, you won't be able to buy any insurance today.

Only one that is open even on Sundays is NTUC.

I just renewed mine. I'm 33, only 1y riding experience (just got Class 2 A, don;' know if that plays a part or not in the insurance price), and I've never had any demerit points or accident (touch wood): I paid $260 for a year with AXA (inclusive of 10% discount because no claims last year)

Ya the leak at the btw.. It's frm the tubes below..

What tubes? o_O

ahh im jus back from UM! the mech suspect it might be gasket or something. but at a low chance. he changed my bolts for me around the engine there. he said he was 90% sure it was the bolt. however if there is still leak, might need to tear the engine to fix it.. he ask me prepare 200 for labour (excluding gasket) if i see a leak.. yeah.. the fuel is pretty sick compared to my sp. i used to top up 2 days 1 time. now its like super money saving after i got the pulsar. the fuel meter doesnt seem to move much. haha. i travelled 100 already and the fuel is still at the F there. (Y)

Someone else replied, but yeah, it's absolutely normal that the tank gauge doesn't move. On my P200, it only starts going down a couple of bars after I've used it for about 350/400km. My advice to you is to note at what mileage the red light will turn on, and after a few months you'll be able to really predict when you need to top-up. After the light turns red, don't worry, you can ride quite a lot still.

Ya lor..i keep leavin my Bikekey behind on my bike so many times in sg..lucky neva get stolen. Any1 got a solution to tis? Coz i got a bunch of keys i bring wif me..when i ride i will unhook my bike key n keep e rest of my keys. Any solution?

I feel ya bro, same issue here, I have a super tiny memory and a brain that seems to always think about new ways to make me forget/loose things :cheeky:

So, I came up with two solutions:

1. I got myself a super visible keychain for my bike key : A "Remove Before Flight" keychain. I got it at the Military market on beach road for a few dollars. Here's photos taken from the web have a look :

http://www.600rr.net/vb/showthread.php?t=117583

2. I have this habit when I park the bike, before getting off it, while I'm still sitting I do 3 checks from left to right :

1 - CashCard from IU to jacket pocket

2 - Bike key from ignition to jacket pocket

3 - My cramp buster from the throttle to the jacket pocket. (see image below for cramp buster)

http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x34/dwodtli/Arctic%20Circle%202008/IMG_4873.jpg

Then only I come off the bike, take out my helmet etc. It's just a routine you force yourself to do at first, and you'll see it will become a reflex. Don't alight from your bike until these things are in a pocket somewhere. Then get off the bike and do whatever you need to do or go wherever.

How about attaching a damn obvious keychain to the key? One with a red blinking LED light maybe. So you will notice it before you leave the bike.

Or put a sticker with the words "REMEMBER TO TAKE THE KEY" inside your IU. So when you open the IU cover to take out your card you see the reminder. lol.
