Every bike has its pros and cons. I've just got a 200ns, my 2nd pulsar and I've got to say its higher than s4.

Tiptoeing is not a problem cause once you move off you won't need to. Bike looks good and doesn't vibrate as much as the old pulsar.

Once you learn how to replace your own engine oil should be no problem.

Last but not least we are a very fun and friendly group. Welcome to Pulsarians Singapore!

replacing own engine oil would be good but disposing it would be a hassle thats why i never bothered to change it on my own.

to be honest i have seen fellow bikers dumping the used eo under the drain after changing it..... talk about being irresponsible:sian:

UM sells the rack for $85 iirc. Box prices depends on which size and brand. Can range from $70 onwards.

You can fix almost any box on it as long as you have the baseplate for it. Baseplates usually come with the box.

@Cyberpig is that you i just saw on KJE exiting to CCK? (25 Jan, around 6.10-20pm)...

i am riding behind you in the black NC...

your box is vibrating and shaking very badly...

suggest you take a look at the base plate mounting, maybe add some more support plates at the bottom...

Yup.. must be me.

Where can I get additional support to dampen the vibration? I saw some bikes with a styrofoam like layer between the box and base rack. Is this the one? Also seems like it is the entire rack "flexing" causing the shaking. Not sure if this is normal or the rack is unsuitable. UM suggested mounting a Kappa 46 or 47 liter (don't remember which) box when I installed the rack so don't problem is because my box (Givi V47) is too big.

think need to look at 2 areas...

your box and rack mounting points....

think take a look at the rack mounting points 1st...

nice awesome videos u have, what kinda camera were you using alvin?

The hr4m rack used by um is a little high. Especially after you add the box.

The wind buffet will be higher. I suggest you try and take a look at the rack I did for the 200ns. Using spec 2 rack. It lowers the rack by about 2 inches. And the weak point where they mount to the foot peg area is not a bracket but welded.

Try placing a thin towel between the box and baseplate. Alternatively cut a rubber tube from old tyres. Should help dampen.

Hey guys, will probably be collecting my 200NS on Monday according to David.. Would like to ask how did you guys break in the engine? Just ride to and fro work/home at 60km/h or as i have read most of you exceeded that eventually. Or do you guys recommend hard breaking as another forumer has posted via this link. http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm? Wondering which road would be good to do this though.. Oh and max RPM is 10000? This is the first time I'm getting a brand new bike so I'm quite worried lol..
