hmm.. i was thinking of getting a pulsar 180! But i'm a girl, so i'm wondering if it's too heavy for someone like me to handle? love the bike lah - it looks fantastic!!! *dream bike* heh..

 

Cos i've low budget, was thinking of getting a 2nd or 3rd hand pulsar! Anything i should take note of? Or do you know anyone who is selling? Any info would be great!

sometimes better to let the bike fall if not u will get injured yourself

your body is more precious than your bike

i m not sure whether if its okado..... but to me bike canvas like rain cloth got life span one after 1yr ++ rain water will sure sip in one so no point buying those ex branded one jus dun get those will melt when touching our exhaust

 

 

my cover is free from UM one when i bought my bike

they gave my XL

it's huge even for my bike with 3 boxes

but dunnoe the brand liao cos lost the paper inside the packaging

think when buy from ah boy need to specfically ask for those that can stand higher temp de

cos saw my friend's cover he bought from ah boy like very thin like that

you can check out this thread. lady selling a black pulsar. pretty good condition and i think she has shaved the seat a little cos she is our pulsar ballerina (have to tip-toe )

 

if not.. can always go UM and check for 2nd hand pulsars.. i remember seeing a pink one which is quite pretty.. but that was some time ago.. might be sold.

try to get from someone in SBT at least u can get some history of e bike. since miracle is selling mayb u can get more info abt her bike, i m ppl here will help u... somemore female to female mayb selling price neg a bit, i m sure miracle oso dun wan e next buyer to ill treat her pulsar

i just got my pulsar 180 and intend to change/add some stuffs:

 

1. Crash bars - may i know where is the best place to install and rough pricing?

 

2. Seat Wrapping - The front part of my seat is torn and i hope to change it, any recommendations?

 

3. Customised Rack - my Givi 45L topbox seem quite heavy for the monorack that comes with when i bought the bike, when riding normally also can feel and hear and vibration of the box. my friend recommended me at Seng Kwang, any other better recommendations?

 

4. Fairings - need to know just roughly whats the price of the fairing? cos my current ones are blue, intend to get either the black or silver ones.

Answering your qns one by one:

 

hello all,

This one Universal Motors got install. IMO because it just big enough for the bike so there is the best place to install it. Price wise is abt $25-30+

JuzzWheels at Bukit Merah makes good seat wrapping. But a bit ex. say abt $25-35 like tt i couldn't remember. If not u can try Aunty Shop or 219 at lavander near Ah Boy one.. There also not bad.. but of cos not as good.

re-wrap is exactly as it sounds. they only change the skin of the seat.

 

they also provide re-foam, or shaving of the foam to shape it in any weird shape u like. go have a chat with them to learn more

 

by the way.. your vibrating box problem can be minimised by adding some thick rubber strips between the base of your box and the base plate

thanks for the clarification. any idea where to get those rubber strips? i cant find any that is so thin unless im slicing my eraser. i've also heard that if u slip those stuffs in to reduce the vibration, it might backfire cos of the restriction of movements and might result in the box to fall off or the base plate to crack. is it true?

hi guys..i am very sorry i cant make it for the nanas trip..i met an accident last friday...my bike quite badly damaged...this malaysian car ar abruptly change lane n i have to siam to avoid it n suddenly in front of me the honda red jazz sudden brake n i had no time to react n i banged behind the car n i flung off n i felt i somersault n landed on the road...jia lat ley...my private parts n groin are in pain...lucky my private part can work...juz a abit scratch at my left ball n me penis the front part got a bit blood clot lah..but everything is fine..now im ok but a bit pain under my tummy...i really sorry abt the trip that i cant make it...i forget to msg u all guys who go for the trip...
