Safety tips:

Always STOP at the STOP LINE!

Don't rush. You're not racing for a record.

Always look in front, especially when trying to change lanes, the vehicle in front might jam brake.

Don't be easily offended, a**holes exists, mingling with them gets you sh*t.

By the way guys, I mentioned this at our last BTMO, glue that acts as solder, some sort of carbon glue. So no solder needed, nifty stuff. Haven't tried ordering yet...

any one knows if need to modify anything if i were to change my 2 pilot lights to led?

or is it just plug and play?

and how do i change my 2 pilot lights? need to open up wat things?

Do not use any coloured LED or bulb. It voids LTA's vehicle code hence you might be violating the law. I had blue LED in my bike and I was asked to change to white by LTA.

Can I ask which LEDs are you guys talking about ? What are the "pilot" lights? My newbie brains there are the front light (white - high beam), rear light (red - braking) and the signal lights front and back (orange/yellow-ish). Are there other lights on the bike?

When you talk about the installing hazard lights, does it mean that you change the signal lights to lights than can blink simultaneously like the hazard lights of a car? Doesn't the bike have this function by default?

Avilu, will add it, thanks :thumb:

Chief, thanks for the direction to MotoWorld at Kaki Bukit earliear.

Forgot the building address when I reach at Kaki Bukit. (paisey getting oldie lah)

Just went to survey the Shark Evoline helmet and check some other stuffs too there.

Will get the helmet some other time but soon ... Price $490 for single colour and $540 for with the pattern design on it ..

Anyway since I'm there just bought a pair of Komine Boot Cover ($60) and a pair of RS Taichi microcubic helmet inner cap ($25)

Weather nowadays unpredictable .. when heavy rains, my waterproof shoes eventually will get soaked although I wore RS Taichi Rain Buster as it does not cover all parts of the shoes.

Unpleasant lah teaching with sogging shoes and socks in schools... Worst when end of the day after you removed the shoes ... SUPER NICE PURFUME!! :puke:

Btw yesss ...RS Taichi Rain Buster :thumb: but the new design expensive $220 :faint:

Me too, I got the Komine Boot Cover. Its very useful if you are not prepare when you wear nice shoes and its start to rain.

But I regreted buying the short ver. Anyone getting it, I'll recommend you to get the long ver for the same price but you get more cover over your pants.

Bro mjbs64, what other designs they have at MotoWorld at Kaki Bukit for the shark evoline?

Do they have sample there for try on? Cause I called the lavander store they only have the Black and Silver ones.

The Pilot Lights a.k.a Parking lights are the two small lights near the headlight. It is placed on both sides of the headlight. This word is borrowed from Cars. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Gaz-24-flasher-and-parking-light.jpg)

Orange lights are called as Indicators.

Hazard lights are the indicator lights which flickers simultaneously(left and right) together.

Bikes (Pulsar) do not have Hazard light option by default.

Yes, you are right. But as per UM mechanic, the LED bulbs consume more current (power) than normal ones.

Generally (technically) LEDs consume less power. So, I asked how this could be, but he had no answer.

LED bulbs are usually expensive compared to normal bulbs. Do not burn your pocket if it does not add value. (my opinion)

Thanks avilu, probably can wiki all my questions, but it's much nicer to have it explained like this :cheeky:

I think I'll have a closer look at all the discussions about the hazard lights DIY as I feel this is a must have on a bike..

You are welcome :-)

As bikes, we do not stop on the road for long hours like our siblings Car. Since the usage is very minimal I thought I can live without it. It is individual choice, I agree.

I figure it can be a good to signal for traffic jam ahead to the vehicules following me, or if I suddenly encounter a problem with my bike, just make sure other users realize there's something going on - I think for me it will make me feel reassured somehow..
