regarding the bike wash,

the week of hari raya, Rudy n gang are closed.. and they reopen on 28 september.. and currently, they have a small issue with manpower.. Due to shortage of manpower, it is advised by them that with roughly 10 bikes, it might take from 10pm onwards to about 2 or 3 am (each bike roughly 1hr 30mins)..

Might i suggest we have the bike wash on 2nd Oct (Friday nite from 10pm) or 3rd Oct (Sat nite from 10pm) or 10th Oct (Oct BTMO, Sat nite from 10pm)? :deal:

Any ideas or suggestions?

Nemesis, ok with bike wash during October BTMO? (i think this might be a good time?)

In any case, we have to book the slots and confirm which bike is goin by hopefully 15 or 16 September.. then we might have a good chance to secure the slot for October :shades:

1 and a half hour o_O

I think like that I go by myself ...

My dad was showing me a Can Am Spyder newspaper article:

http://a1preview.asia1.com.sg:90/vgn-ext-templating/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=80b27e00ac883210VgnVCM100000430a0a0aRCRD&vgnextchannel=672db9a9bf322110VgnVCM100000bd0a0a0aRCRD

Can Am Spyder Roadster

Price: $38,000 without COE

Engine: Liquid-cooled 990cc V-twin

Transmission: Sequential electronic

five-speed paddle shift, belt drive

Power: 106bhp at 8.5k rpm

Torque: 104.3Nm at 6250 rpm

0-100kmh: 4.5s

Top speed: 185kmk

Agent: Looi's Motor

And this bad ass thing requires 2 motorbike lots, can't squeeze in traffic... Go M'sia need to use car lane, but still considered bike... It's like a car less 1 wheel, pretty cool

Safety tips:

Always STOP at the STOP LINE!

Don't rush. You're not racing for a record.

Always look in front, especially when trying to change lanes, the vehicle in front might jam brake.

Don't be easily offended, a**holes exists, mingling with them gets you sh*t.

Hi everyone, does anyone know how much does it cost to do a full service of pulsar 200 at um..? N wat do they do if full service? Thanxs alot guys...:)

EO change at $12 (1.2 litres) plus $6 for servicing package....

To what I know:

1.) Check brake system

2.) Tighten chain

3.) lubricate clutch n brake handle

4.) Check lighting

5.) Air filther (clean if necessary)

6.) Check tire pressure (pump for u if necessary)

7.) Test ride ur bike if they feel ur bike having some problem after checking n test reving...

plus dunno watever check la....

FYI, no need to regularly opt for full service package one... maybe jus one in 2-3 servicing... Cos sometimes if u kana ah heng the mechanics.... He will help u check as well even if u nv opt for servicing package... If u go through Jason the coordinator, sure will kana charge the $6....

What type of contribution are we expected of over there?

type of tires you are using?

check your tires pressure?

what is the load your bike carries?

anyway the best way is to come out and let our professional in-house mechs take a look. there! there's one meet up next sat.

i'm using stock tyres and the mechanic assured me pressure was as per reccomended. I'm 70kg, sometimes got pillion 50 - 80kg.

the best FC i got was when i was running in my bike after overhaul at 80km/h and it gave me 35km/L -_-

thanks for the quick replies guys! looks like i'll have to check back sooner in future. just to recap, i'm the 180cc UG2 30km/L FC and 110km/h top speed after recent overhaul guy.

would the bike still be largely affected by how well the previous owner looked after the bike even after overhaul?

Hey Nemesis, when would be a more convenient time to contact you? :)

maybe can go down regina to check 1st then tok to ah boy

was thinking to bargain to $100 if i getting the mfizz one

i likely be getting this coming fri

bro, u r partially correct abt e road blk.... but e main reason y LTA need to exercise e control is to ensure tat rider/driver dun any how modify their ride. if they dun enforce these rules, ppl can jus change their main engine or fixed a turbo into their engine to hav bigger cc.... imagine gsr400 using gsr600 blk who can tell e diff? n e diff in cc is huge.

but then again there is always a 'by left way' to increase ur cc.... i thk u know oso, if duno can consult our chief.

For bike during inspection LTA will chk ur main frame no, engine blk no n exhuast(for those using aftermarket endcan) to match their records.

fyi, all exhaust sys be it stock/operated/aftermarket must pass certain standard of noise test during inspection....

:offtopic: jus wondering wats e procedures/fee for legalising a aftermarket endcan?

our twin plug sys is e main reason for us for good fc, jus like honda jazz i-dsi.

our secondary plug actually create a 'second' combustion cycle for those unburnt fuel in e piton chamber... n our stock cdi play a big part too.

our exhaust doesn't contribute much to our gd fc... but it help providing us e initial pickup for our bike due to reverse pressure fr e exhaust tec work lik a 'semi flow' pipe

Thanks Alvin for spotting my quaestion and answering - too bad, I would have liked the idea of a 200 Fi :)

Just saw a BIG Varadero parked in my MSCP. HUGE bike, probably not the 125cc model. Quite cool.

I think if one wants to tour on a regular basis and can afford a class 2A it's best to go for a 400cc in terms of confort. But I understand Pulsars have been to Thailand before, and I've read indian blogs (these guys are true adventurers, i tell you) of Pulsarians hitting the road like nobody's business.. So I intend to put mine to the test and hopefully go tour with you guys this coming 2010 !

think with the 200 Fi, your fuel consumption will drop down too.

Varadero is a very nice bike that i also like

and its not cheap as well

got 1 125cc one parked over at my house MSCP there.

nice nice :thumb:

also everyday got 1 ride by a kindergarten teacher always park under my blk and she will walk to the next blk kindergarten to work.
