here are the average fc that the bajaj is capable of giving you...

 

Working at mcdonalds travelling at 50-60 kph irregardless of street or highway travel, carrying the bag, so rider + load weight about 70kg on average, 47.5km/l

 

Working at kfc, with the huge est 100l box tied to it, and travelling 80-90 kph on the highway and 60kph on the street, i get 37.5km/l. Load weight varies from 70-120kg, including rider weight.

 

Bike still in a very standard state, no engine mods, sprockets standard. And for both gauges i should also inform you that i dont believe in expensive engine oils. I regularly change the oil myself using the cheap $3 engine oil that lab sells. I also dont believe in expensive spark plugs. if grade 7 plugs are available, i use those. 8 if 7 isnt available. 9 and 10, o even those "iridium power" plugs? I dont believe is wasting money on those things, the savings are marginal.

 

Did i mention that i have been using the standard chain/sprockets for over almost 2.5 years now? The chain guards are a work of genius!

 

You will be bringing pulling the throttle to about 8k rpm to maintain 90kph on the highway.

 

One thing i notice about the pulsar is that it doesnt like to be redlined too long. Somehow keeps stalling at rest, until it significantly cools down. But relaxed uncle riders wont face this problem. Fscking msia plate rx8 cut in so close to get ahead even when i was travelling at 80kph on a 80kph speed limit highway, on the third frigging lane?! The pulsar is capable of hitting 120kph even with the huge ass box tied to it, when a severely pissed of dispatch rider is on it. Of course the bike starts wheezing at rest, and keeps stalling. Let it cool off by travelling within the speed limit, and it goes back to normal.

I'm hoping to get a pulsar, and right now i'm facing with whether to fix my x9 and sell it or just scrap it. it doesn't really make sense to keep it since it will cost 400 to fix and i'm a settled down and relaxed rider who travels at 70 or max 100km/h. i could just change to a pulsar and let the savings from fuel and maintaince offset it's purchase price in less than 3 years.

 

Any idea where i can get a used one? What's the price range if i were to get a used one from a bike shop?

over 30 paying 1xx for 3rd party. also 20% ncd. expecting ur insur to be 18x-200.

 

mine is the legend hitting FC60 if i ride carefully. on compare with ur x9, i can gurantee ur fc will be at least double.

 

omg 60? do u ride at 50km/h? haha if it's 60.. then it's about 3 times of my x9. Come to think of it my r6 was still the best.. it gave me the Fc of about 20km/lit when i was riding like a rabid weasel on crack. But i'm all for economy and safety now

took a gamble when the red light turns amber, before my wheel touch the stop line, i looked up and realized that its red light. turned back and saw camera aiming my butt.

will i kena or not? i heard that there is a lag time after light turns red, like 3 second or something.

if its from the right side of the engine, most prob from the cam plug... had the same problem before.. if u go UM, its 45 bucks for repairing that, and they will do a seal cap for u..
