changed mine to UG3 one for 18 or 20 bucks at UM, somewhere there. how much does welding cost? can't rem. remember jacky telling me that welding only slightly cheaper than replacing.

 

i duno. neber weld my side stand. i just leave it as it is. ask others if they got lobang at cheaper price.

Ya i just check as wad you said, my EO is in the mid level..

Just that the indicator keep pooping up, makes my heart also pop faster, scare that my ride got problem...

so to say that the indicator is not reali that good...

 

Bro .. I believed yours is P200 rite... the indicator flash is to warn you that your eo needs to top up, you mentioned 1 bottle dats is 1l... p200 needs 1.2l cos of the oil cool system... so I believed the indicator is a good thing for you. :angel:

aye, yer right, electro-magnetic field generated by coils in the road, where the black-line of rubber sealant are. turns on on red light, or rather 1-2secs after. metallic object aka veh move through the field, disrupts it. trips the trigger.

 

small bike, smaller metallic mass, less likely to generate enough of a disruption above the threshold required for activation.

 

also, iirc, fields are generated on a cylindrical-sort field around the wires, so if you have problem w traffic lights not changing late at night, rem to ride your bike directly on top of the black-rubber lines, mostly seems to work.

 

also, sensor does not come on immediately after red-light, there's a slight time-delay before it activates, but still, better not to test it out, hehe.

 

went to do research after running red-light twice before.

 

 

small bikes should have no problem activating the sensors. even a bicycle placed correctly on the sensor can activate it. I even tested a metal ashtray.. also worked with the sensor. just have to position it correct for the sensor to activate.

 

usually the sensors are in the form of rectangular cuts on the road lined with rubber looking stuff. i mostly position my bike to the left or right side IN the rectangle and it works everytime.

Ya... i know is 1.2L, but the bike shop told me to just top up 1L is enough.

And one more thing is i have been changing my EO every month and from the past 7 month till last month, indicator did not pop now, till now...

ic ur case. just top up 1.2l. i usualy top up 1.2l eventhough im riding 180. eo tends to dry up depending how d person ride d bike. if u mention earlier dat its in d mid level, den its ok. dun top up anymore. ur bike wont blow up. :)

Maybe i need to change the habit i ride..

I gg about 80 to 90 km/h on average.. everyday travel from east to west to work

. i neber heard chain use eo to lube. u can choose either chain wax or chain lube. dun ask me wats d diff, too lazy to explain.

if all else fails, put neutral, side stand down and go press the pedestrian crossing button. :D

 

my bike always got detected by the sensor until one night when i was returning home in the wee hours. haha

i also replace a new side stand mine is p200 1 longer cost 20 buck.

Welding about 15 dollar or so. GO AGL is cheaper hear from pet. But still change a new 1.

u always top up 1 L n nothing happen ah? ok then let me tell u gd luck ur engine inside something wear out due to insufficient EO.

cos 1.2L is to allow the 200ml to go to the cooling radiator. so all the while only 800ml was in ur engine and the other 200ml was cooling itself. 800ml enuff EO? i dun think so becos u have to factor in the small amount that burns off too while in the engine for 2.5k km.

i only use eo to lube my chain.

mixing will incur more wear n tear on ur chain.

Wah Pengz my front brake still faulty must go down to UM on thurs to fix. Think must fix brand new front brake system. Change the small parts does not help at all. I just send E-mail to complain liao. How come Bajaj item so lousy 1 bloody hell spent so much money still cannot get it fixed. Some more i go down like more then 5 time still not ok damn too lan loh.....A few time near accident coz front brake does not stop even i e-brake. If not is after i e-brake then my caliper will jam and i'll be stuck in the middle of the road. :gun::gun::gun: :gun::bouncefire::bouncefire::bouncefire: :bouncefire:

Wah Pengz my front brake still faulty must go down to UM on thurs to fix. Think must fix brand new front brake system. Change the small parts does not help at all. I just send E-mail to complain liao. How come Bajaj item so lousy 1 bloody hell spent so much money still cannot get it fixed. Some more i go down like more then 5 time still not ok damn too lan loh.....A few time near accident coz front brake does not stop even i e-brake. Find alternative motor shop with more experienced or competent mechanics? If find one, tell me hor.

Hi bro, you got try "bleeding"? last friday I went to Unique Motorsport to change my tire, the guys there tested my front brake and found out that it is too loose even though I had recently change my front brake pad. Tried tightening my front brake also no use.

 

They suggest me to do bleeding and change my brake oil. It works! The reason being my brake oil is really really old and black. So the oil property had been broken down and wear out.

You go to Unique Motorsport(UM) often? How's their mechanics? Was thinking of giving them a try.

 

Hi bro. That is my first time going there (Defu branch, not the main shop). Went to Unique becoz the tire price is cheaper. The mechanics quite good and knowledgeable. Manage to solve my front brake problem quickly and effectively. One guy even recommend me the HEL brake line, but I did not change.

 

One thing to take note is that they accept Diners credit card with interest free installment. Didn't know that the installment do not require minimum amount, otherwise would have chosen the 6 mths scheme.

bro.. money can earn back.. safety more important.. in fact.. i don't think i will be riding if my bike is in the same condition as yours..
