Im another pulsarian as well. Im currently riding P200 for the past 1 1/2 years. N it has been all stock (except for the regular change of eo,spark plugs n air filter) other than that, its all stock. I need ur opinion on wad is optimum for me to change? I was thinking of change my tires to battlax coz ive been running on the current mrf tyres. I was thinking to change loads of stuff on my bike for a better performance. Any kind souls care to give me any insights? (Im still a lil bit noob tho ;p)

1. change ur tire to IRC front n back. cheaper, lighter den battlax, the grip is not bad either. im using it now. rear size for my p180 is $65. tomolo i go um in d morning. if u wan, u can call dem for enquiries abt IRC tires.

 

2. evrything abt ur stock is gd. if u wan aftermarket parts, call cookie monster. for me, im using all stock n its still running smoothly. the things i often take care is :

 

a. im using JB 95 ron petrol all d way n its performance is still gd.

 

b. change my filter n wash my carb at d same time. not often i do dis though. like every 4-6 months cos i travel quite a lot.

 

c. change my EO every 1k+, using castrol semi syn in JB, 15-40. each of us have diff taste for EO. doesnt matter, as long as its 15-40 or 20-50.

 

d. if u care for ur chain, lube it wif EO every 300 or 250km depend on how u ride.

 

dat is all. d rest is just wear n tear. u r lucky fortunate to ride a p200 while mine is p180. DO U KNOW WAT'LL I DO IF I GET MY HANDS ON P200?

wat will i do? i'll customise it as a touring bike for 200cc bike. same goes to the honda tiger 200.

 

as for eo, no recomendation needed. some like agip, mobil 1, shell n so on. some say dis brand is beter den dat beand cos its using gell, or watever, bla3.... n d list goes on.i use castrol cos my late granpa's closest friend told me so cos he been riding up til now. as long as its 15-40 or 20-50 n as long as u maintain ur eo, its more den enough. things like eo leaking etc, its d bike.

now we know who to watch out for when we go for BTMO

saw a near accident today while driving because of another STUPID driver

a pickup was making a U Turn at near courts bt timah there and never check got any vehicles coming his way or not from the other direction when the driver made the turn

the pick up turned into the 2nd lane of the road(i was travelling on the 1st lane from quite a distance) and there was this R1(with pillion) heading towards the pick up

straight after making the U turn, the pickup literally slowed down until almost to a stop cause the driver wanted to make a lane change to the 3rd lane

the R1 horned at the pickup and had to jam brake and swerve into the 3rd lane to avoid hitting the pickup

after passing the pickup, the R1 went back into the 2nd lane and the rider was cursing and swearing at the pickup driver and did not notice his bike was heading digonally into lane 1 and in the direction of my car

had to horn the rider to alert him to straighten his bike

 

2 similar almost near accident i encounter in as many days

be careful guys whether you are riding or driving

there are alot of STUPID drivers/riders around who don't know/care about ther safety of others on the road

would suggest changing tyres to rubber 1ones as reccommended by 1 oldbie & UM. just had a fishtailing xccident. recovering from shoulder fracture....
