oh crap.. i've accidentally gotten a substantial amount of water (maybe a cup full) in my fuel tank. think the drainout tube is choked.. hence when i open the cap.. saw the flood around the sides and a small stream of water flowing into the tank.

any solution guys? can ride to shop to drain out? or call tow truck liao?

Since water is heavier than petrol, it stays at the bottom of the tank. The bottom most 1 L in the tank is unusable, so as long as the amount of water that has gone into the tank is less than 1 ltr, you should be fine, it will not get into the carburator. 1st thing you need to do is get the pipe that takes the water from the gutter near the cap, cleaned so that no more new water gets into it.

You can also take it to a shop and ask them to drain out the petrol and water and clean the carburator, if water has already gone into it. I believe you will be able to reuse the petrol as well.

you need to bring 3 empty buckets and a cash card

the water will flow for about 30-40 sec(can't rmb the exact timing)

which will fill up slightly more than 3 normal size buckets

Hi Alvin,

Thanks a lot. I went to the mscp today to the washing bay and found that the tap is locked. :(. It is locked with the normal lock and key lock. So unless I get the key I cant open it. I also dont see any place near it where I can use a cash card or drop a coin. Do you think the wash bay is no longer used? At the entrance of the car park, they have written "No washing of cars, except at the designated washing bay". I am confused. Can I just take half a bucket of water from my house and then just wipe the bike with a rag at the car wash bay? I hope its legal.

Hi Guys,

I just noticed that my engine oil level is low. Today being sunday most shops closed. I went to shell petrol bunk and caltex petrol bunk. Both dont have 20W50 grade motorcycle eo. They have only 20W40. But the manual for P180 recommends 20W50. Can you guys please suggest what are the options for 20W50 mineral oil?

EDIT: I just called up LAB. They have Mobil1 20W50 Mineral oil costing 7$. I guess I will go there and do the oil change.

LAB only had Mobil mineral oil and Putoline semi-synthetic oil. Putoline costs 8$+1$ for changing oil. I chose the Putoline. Anybody has used this for their pulsar? I already feel harsher ride compared to earlier, but gearshift is smoother. I not sure what EO was used earlier as it was done by previous owner.

Sounds as good as a P180/200 with a smaller tank... 68km/l somemore that is like almost 1.5 times as good...
