Hmm do you think it has sth to do with the cluth housing? Because my mech said it has worn out and needs to be replaced. But I doubt that is the cause. Right after I topped up my engine oil blindly,I could immediately feel the stiffness in gear change and it was very difficult to find neutral.

I went to my mech just now and he changed my front brake pads(my brake pads were worn out to the max) for $24 and he said the brake ____(forgot the name, near the brake disk) was dented which caused the brake to jam.

since our bike is a wet clutch .. meaning it needs oil for lubrication to perform but stilll will wear off and losing it's energy in the liquid in the period of time ..

unless your engine oil is dirty, yes maybe it can affect the smoothness during the transmission ..

but you stated top up and not change

so since when your last EO in your bike change and what oil did you use? ... mineral, semi or fs?

have you change the clutch plates before?

if so when?

I think your mech is right to ask you to change the clutch plates.

Do remember some parts the wear and tear are much faster than the manual stated .. it depends on luck too ...

hmm happens to me with my dry cell battery ... been recomended to change to dry cell from wet batt at UM, so give a try and just recently after 4 months using it .. the cover of the battery breaks and my battery fluid leakage without knowing it .. keeps wondering why lately a white powderish all over under my seat .. upon checking found that the powderish comes from the corroded battery holder ... went to UM and ask why .. hmm stated this is the first time they encounter this pproblem ... fight for my right there since I just used it for 4 months .. FAILED to get full compensation .. UM just gave me 10% less the cost price ... frustrated but understood that's life .. somedays are yours and somedays it just not your day ....

since my temperature sensor also keep popping out, replace a new sensor and the sensor back to normal .. oh it cost you $12. :)

replace also that little rubber at the slot to lock your side cover .. it cost you $1 each .. I fight for foc and I managed to save my $1 .. hehehehhe :p

hmmmmm am I sound different .. issit me? really issit me to fight for $1 .... hahahahahahahahah :cheeky:

imo, i find that our lights is enough for sg roads. almost all our roads r brightly lit, so there's no point in getting brighter bulbs to blind someone.

however if i'm constantly travelling in m'sia on those dark roads, i might want to find alternatives to get brighter lights.

O'ren, stick to the original lights are the best. Dun bother upgrading the lights la. will cost u more damage in time to come.

Hey Lindavw ! :cheer: Good to see you again, I missed you ! ( a liiiiittle bit ok!)

Yeah, I was a bit worried for the future: I hope to be able to travel with my bike more and more, especially since I got the touring virus at my first trip to Malaysia with SBT ! :cheer: And I'm a bit worried about how efficient the lights are on dark roads. SG definitely no problem at all, but outside..

"sai tao" is dialect for lion head, u know when there's a festival, usually new year, there's a lion dance where 2 ppl hidden in a lion costume holding a lion head and the do tricks n stunts.

it's the cowling that house the main lights and pilot lights, i also dont know what the proper word for it also. :cheeky:

Oh I see, I'll look for it on the bike tonight, see if I see what you're referring to. Thanks for the translation and explanation ! I like those lions stunts and all, except when they rehearse on Sunday below my apartment window :dot::cheeky:

ohh fyi too ... cookie, myself and hvc have been tracking the 4 W's to get the source to install the rear brake disk .. currently at Prides ... hmmmmmm think Gaban can answer when mentioning Prides .. he and hvc are very active there .. active with 2 reasons .. 1 for info on pulsar and 2 ... hmmm seggeeeer hahahahhaha

4 W's ?I see, well keep me updated will ya please ? If there's a way to get a rear brake disc, i'm in - if not too expensive and if safe for the bike's longterm health !

comes 1st July 2011 ... BTMO for that month ... pulsarians roll out and watch Transformers 3 :cheers::cheers:

It's in 1 year, so far ! :faint:

Will send PO to Sinnob and will update all updates from time to time. Thank you and all the BEST for YOUR RIDE with SINNOB GEAR SPROCKETS.

Thanks you thank you :cheers::thumb::cheers:

my bike totally blacked out. think due to fault battery which cant charge or fault rectifier that dun charge the batt.

It's because it misses its pulsar friends from our group ! It's sending you a message: "I'm lonely, get me to SBT meetings!":angel:

if i were alone, i'll prob worry about lights, however on trips, we are in a group. so there isn't much worry.

unless u're thinking of venturing like gaban...

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

How long is the stock battery supposed to last ? Any tail signs that would let me know when it's coming close to die? (Meaning I'm trying to avoid discovering it's dead in the middle of the expressway...)

How much did you pay for the dry battery ?

Honestly sometimes UM prices are a bit frustrating. Went there to have them unscrew 2 screws from the hella horns that I couldn't unscrew myself, and put the original brackets in place. So really it's unscrew/put bracket/screw back, on each side of the bike. Total time 30sec per side and a little bit of human strength with the right tool.

They charged me $4. When I KNOW the whole installation of the horns, including the wiring, is about $5-$6. So I knew they were literally chopping me into decorative salad carrot topping. But I signed, and I payed, and I smiled. What goes around comes around, we'll see next servicing how....

You'd think a customer like you, who always recommends them and goes to see them every now and then, for minor to bigger stuff, they'd ry to entertain, and say ok lah, 2 rubbers for free 'cause you come often. Tssssssss:dot::dot::dot::dot::dot::dot::dot:

Standing from your point of view $4 for screwing & unscrewing is not worth paying but knowing that installation of the horns cost only $5 - $6, and i paid like 4 times more I duno how 2 explain that feeling SHIOK AH!!!!

Off topic, I know dis is lame, but I’ll do it anyway.

How to cook Maggie goreng.

Step 1:

http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv109/Gaban84/DSC08410.jpg

Prepare the necessary items/ingredients. For my case, im gona use 1 packet of Maggie and 2 eggs. Simple no?

Step 2:

http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv109/Gaban84/DSC08411.jpg

boil the Maggie on the pot. I dun have to say much. Even a kid can understand.

But dun put the spice yet.

Step 3:

http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv109/Gaban84/DSC08412.jpg

after the Maggie is soften and broke up, pour onto jug and wait for it to cool down around 5-10min just like in the pic.

Optional step:

http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv109/Gaban84/DSC08424.jpg

while waiting for it to cool down, do whatever u like, as for me, playing my favourite ps2.

Step 4:

http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv109/Gaban84/DSC08413.jpg

after the wait is over, prepare the frying pan or ‘kuali;. Cooking oil amount? Well, it varies individually. As for me, see the pic.

Step 5:

http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv109/Gaban84/DSC08417.jpg

turn on the gas and lower the flames, and wait for it to get hot.

Step 6:

http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv109/Gaban84/DSC08414.jpg

http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv109/Gaban84/DSC08415.jpg

while waiting for the frying pan, in my case, I crack open 2 eggs and beat them up.

It up to you whether u want to prepare some veggie, meat ot whatever.

Step 7:

http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv109/Gaban84/DSC08418.jpg

http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv109/Gaban84/DSC08419.jpg

when the pan is hot enough ( still use low flames), pour any ingredients into the pan.

In my case, are the eggs and fry them halfway. Don’t cook too long. Take about less than 15 secs.

Step8:

http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv109/Gaban84/DSC08420.jpg

add the Maggie into the pan and mixed it with the eggs or any ingredients for a few secs.

Step 9:

http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv109/Gaban84/DSC08416.jpg

http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv109/Gaban84/DSC08421.jpg

while still in low flames, open up the spice and add to the pan as shown above.

Step 10:

http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv109/Gaban84/DSC08422.jpg

Now, mixed it up with the rest for a min or 2 until a nice scent is produce.

Step 11:

http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv109/Gaban84/edit.jpg

if u think its cooked, then put it on a plate or watever serve. WALAAH!!!

Easy no? btw, use low flames all the way.

Guys - are any of you using Acerbis Handguards? My bike is still without balancers. I do not feel my handle vibrating, but the rear view mirrors go bonkers around 70. Because of this I cannot see anything in the rear view mirror. (Left rear view mirror cannot see anything anyways, so rear view mirrors totally useless at 70). Btw, my mirrors are also not original.

I asked my 'non-Pulsarian' 'major off-roader' colleague and he suggested Acerbis Handguards - and mentioned that they will act as balancers and also protect the clutch/accelerator in case of an accident. Are any of you using these? Any idea how much do they cost? Do they look weird on the Pulsar?

Separately, when is the next coffee session? Owe MJ a huge bucket of coffee for his help last week.

Acerbis have many types ... and yes they are very good and EXPENSIVE. Our bro Kira have one model on his RIDE.

I think HKL selling the latest model Acerbis Dual Rod with LED around $240 plus installation.... click here for reference of the types and range price in USD.

and oh about the other day ... no problem lah bro hehehe .. btw during this wet weather just take note of any rain water intake in your tank ...

about any unofficial outing, no need to wait for us .. you also can post and invite us for meet up heheheh

happy and safe ride :)
