O'ren/Eliminator,

u guys installed the voltmeter already?

i think it might be a cheaper option to get the voltmeter from the CMO thread and install yourself

$45 for red & $55 for blue(including postage)

it is actually quite easy to install.

Bro Eliminator,

like what glzco said the volt meter is to help your monitor the bike status

like the other time after the hazard light DIY, i was heading home i know my bike got problem when my voltmeter suddenly shows a surge of voltage to 15+V and then i went to show LLL then surge again

O'ren,

i don't mind helping out as markers

will confirm again when i get back to singapore

posting all this at Taoyuan airport...:cheeky:

I'll put as marker Alvin, pending your confirmation - thanks !

BTMO 14 AUGUST 2010

This month , just like last year we will gather to make a TAA donation at the Tajoing Katong Complex and meet up with fellow bikers from the Phantom Group :thumb:

What is TAA?

About TAA >> History

Tabung Amal Aidilfitri (TAA) Trust Fund, or Hari Raya Charity Box, was founded in 1992 with a mission to help the poor, needy and less fortunate Malay/Muslim community during the holy month of Ramadan (fasting month).

The idea was first mooted by the late Dr Tay Eng Soon, the then Senior Minister of State for Education, who had suggested that Malay/Muslim organisations could organise a public charity drive during the Ramadan / Syawal season as an annual affair

VISION

To provide financial assistance to disadvantaged families

to enable them to celebrate

Hari Raya (Aidilfitri) with dignity.

MISSION

To foster the spirit of giving in our multi-racial community,

especially during the month of Ramadan,

through various fund raising activities and programmes for the

benefit of the disadvantaged.

Hi, Welcome to our thread :cheer:

The P200 is SGD 5400 to 5600 somewhere around there, machine price. So you'll have to add COE, road tax and insurance to this.

They do sell 2nd hand Pulsars but like the addict said, it's not easy to find second hand P200 - but easy to get a 2nd hand P180. For second hands P200 it can range from 2500 to 4500 depending on the condition and mileage, most probably the majority will be around 3500. For the P180 it's around 2000 to 3500 mostly around 2500-3000 I think.

These are rough estimates, some people find good deals, some pay a bit more. You can keep track of the garage sales here on this forum if not in a hurry to buy your bike, or try classified online.

If you are going for a second, do come ask here for one of us to accompany you to see the bike to help you evaluate the deal :thumb:

Last but not least, if you want all your questions about the Pulsar answered, join our BTMO next week, you can see the different types of pulsars and ask about finances and all that

Yello.

BTMO refers to Bajaj Team Monthly Outing.

Don't think about 200cc if ure still a student.

Get a 180 if you can, find a good condition with COE for about 2k++ average.

Or survey the shops near UM(Universal Motors),

or

you can read the pages behind for more info..

Yeah...it might go at around 3.4k in total...mine's a 2nd hand Pulsar 180 initially at 2.5k, then adding insurance going at almost 600(!), a new box and bracket at 150 and the remainder for transfer/admin fees and what not...presto-3.4k:cool:...

no need clips and wires

everything you need is inside

just need to connect 1 wire of the volt meter to the -ve side of the batt and the other tap to a wire which has power only after you switch your bike key to on

some tap the wire to the ignition wiring

for me i tap to the same point where i tap for my hazard light power

then need to hide your wires

and its done:cheeky:

I installed it at $55.Rabbit is installing it at $40 but shadow brand compared to dynamax.Met him ytd to get grips and speed did LED lights.

My voltmeter shows 11+V when idle and barely 12V when on the go.My mech charged my batt just yesterday and if its still like this means its either the rectifier or coil.Any1 has any idea how much either one will cost?

Another question. Can there be too much voltage? How much is too much? What causes it to surge up?(I'm guessing installation of external electronics?)
