O'ren,

saw your pics of your dirty shadow cause of your new fender is too short

this might be a solution

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php/304041-lt-CMO-gt-Fender-Extender-from-Pyramid-Plastics-MO-Section

Hehehehe and once intalled that.... then the bike won't be so SEXY anymore!!! hahahaha

All sporty fenders are designed short to have more sexier look ma hehehehhe

The dirt is part and parcel for sporty fenders and also to have the rider spend more time with the bike to always clean and maintain the bike as much as the rider clean himself/herself... hehehe

Imho when using the stock fender with the built in extender, the dirt still hit the engine side only that the dirt is not as much as sporty fender but neverthelass it is the same as you need to wash often to maintan clean and shine the bike hehehehe

But still up to individuals lah hehehehhe ..

Oh if anyone interested getting the extender fender, I can't wait to see the outcome of it lah and who knows mybe if it look nice and ok for $38 .. hmmm maybe too I'm interested! hahahaha

Nice spotting thanks Alvin !

MJ, I think I'm willing to try - yes the shorter fender looks cooler but seriously it covers nothing ! To the point when I ride in wet muddy roads, my pants get splashed so really not good.. In SG you don;t really feel it or experience it but outisde SG it's clear.

Now my question is, can;t I use my stock expender and somehow fit it on my after market fender

The rider says they change the EO every 1.1 to 1.2k km..that's just .. I don't know, it's very strange. Who would change EO so often ?? Ok those who change every 3k instead of 5k km, ok even every 2500km, but every 1000km ?! I really don't understand it. I'm gonna ask him.

@gaban: not sure I can make it tomorrow morning, will depend how much work i get done today, if I finish I won;t have to stay home to work and I'll join. Is it ok if I sms you my attendance later this evening ?

hahahahah ... I believed you did not read about fenders discussions at Prides Online .... even Bro Jeskoneng stated that our stock fenders with built in mudguard is of NO USED!! when go touring hehehe .. and hey don't tell me they ride on Singapore Road lah heheheh .. reasons why Bro tigersyndicate installed his DIY mudguard infront of his engine and have Bro Jesskoneng queries about the air flow!!! .. Most pulsarians and Prides there using aftermarket fenders and they get used to the dirt and sand on the bike and clothings ... !! That's shows what Pulsar bike and Rider can go through .. ENDURE AND PERSEVERE !!! heheh

Reasons too here in Singapore why some rider don't prefer to ride NAKED BIKE!!

As mentioned .. there's a pros and cons using aftermarket accessories too hehehehe .. and if one thinks when riding to avoid pants from splashing rain water or road surface etc .. then change to Scooters lah!!! hehehehehe

Cheers!!

May be he is using a cheapo mineral oil and doesnt mind changing every 1k kms. The Mobil1 20W50 mineral is available in LAB for 6$ DIY.

Also, as the engine gets older the oil tends to evaporate faster especially if it is mineral so makes sense to change at 1k kms instead of topping up little little.

um, guys.

My bike hit 100,000KM a month back, and I am realizing an irritating setback. I dont know when i should service the bike, since the odometer is done for. keeping track of the milleage using a notepad is rather a pain in the ass. any way to reset the odometer to 0? or at least take advantage of the extra digit that i KNOW the meter has?

Bajaj Pulsar 180 - UG3 (2007 - )

Suzuki GSXR-400 (2008 - 2009)

Piaggio Vespa GT 200L (2009 - 2011)

Yamaha YBX 125 (2010 - )

Yamaha FZ S1 '05 (2011 - )

i tink you can reset the odometer if i'm not wrong.. you can head bk to UM to ask them to do it.. if nt, thr is always DIY.. open up the head to check out the odometer.. heh..
