how do u actually do that?

i wanna try.. hee

Sure you want to know? You just need to step hard on the rear brake to wheel-lock your rear, turn your handle bar a little to either left or right and you will get that drifting but not first without a set of seasoned tires. I have done it thrice though not intentional and the last one almost had me over the cliff.

I duno if the rider are anyone of you but yesterday 20 Feb 2008, 5pm at NUH Kent ridge wing level 1 carpark, your shadow400 brown/milk colour fall and I helped you to carry up. Your shadow just fall beside my bike

I'm not sure whether is it you that cause my bike to fall to the right, my bike suffer numerous scratches, bend right mirror and a crack sit fairing on the right. All these were not there when i park my RVF in the carpark on 20 Feb 2008 morning.

Concidence is it? I duno, your bike fall on my left, and my bike showed signs of falling to the right. Even thou my bike was up right when i reached, i only notice the scratches, bend mirror and crach fairing during riding. I only wish if the rider is here and own up.

As for my feelings? I help another biker while he kept quiet about the incident. Or maybe I just too suspicious, wasn't done by the shadow rider. If you are man enough, just own up and explain whether is it you or not. I will not take it personally.

I am sorry to hear about it mate. Likely that it may not have been done by the owner her/himself. After all, why would anyone want to push down her/his own motorcycle to inflict damages on her/his own asset too? My guess it could be someone else who had push the Honda Shadow to drop against your bike. :(

U know the meaning of accidental or miscue?

I'm not blaming anyone thou. I know that its an accident just to drop the shadow onto me. Just hoping he would own up and told me so. He even say "thank you" to me and I bid him "good bye and take care". haiz...

hi gentoro,

i don't think that shadow rider did that to your bike.

from your descriptions, it seems like there is another bike or biker which casued the shadow to fall onto your bike, and your bike took the most damage. maybe after that fella knocked down the shadow n your bike, maybe he tried to cover his act by putting back the bikes up, and maybe the shadow too heavy for him..

anyway.. sad to hear abt it man.. i wish those ppl are honest to face their own music..

once, after i parked my then phantom, i lightly knocked a SP while alighting from my bike. that caused the domino affect, knocked down another phantom and S4 .

i owned up.. a couple of hundrends went flying...

I did not demand compensation or repayment. I only demand honesty. Anyway, its a old paintwork. Kinda got scare to respray and refurnish, incase same thing happened again. OMG! I only blame my luck and doesn't blame anyone.

Whatever the truth is, we may not know it if the shadow rider doesn't say anything.

Of course. I know you are not blaming anyone but your luck though. I was just quoting a scenario and for all you know, the owner or whoever the culprit is, may not be even exist in this forum at all.

Cheers!

Hmm...thrice it happened on different bikes doing between 65 to 80kph on flat road and the last, going down slope cornering. I called them stupid mistakes and the drift was a little incomplete too. Just brake hard and hold, close throttle, release brake and throttle.

Actually, what the guy on the video did wasnt braking hard on the rear.

That will lead to fish tailing....or skidding...

He actually drifted....which is the wheel spinning and not gripping the tarmac...

And herculie if u wanna try it, do it when you gonna change your tyres.....as it will really burn the treads.... :thumb:

I was goin home just now and turning into my carpark and see it was quiet and i tried doing that drift you saw on the video....

It was FUN!!!!! LOL

Scary at first then i went second round....LOL

All you need to do is when swerving (which ever direction) half clutch and then rev....your wheel will spin a lil then when u want to straighten just clutch in and release throttle.....

Do not try this if not confident hor....

Try at your own will....can be addictive..... :cheeky:

like he mentioned, do it when you're going to change your tires. I've changed mine around Oct last year, so I've missed my chance to try :cheeky:
