Family members die of cancer one after another

 

He followed in the footsteps of four of his family members - and passed away from cancer.

 

Two weeks ago, Chen Tian Shun, 52, sucuumbed to brain cancer. His death came as a shock to his family members as he had only been diagnosed with the disease a short 20 days earlier.

 

Slightly before his diagnosis, Mr Chen had resigned from his civil service job to start his own business, but it was a dream that would be left broken.

 

Recalling how his brain cancer was discovered, Mr Chen's wife said: "My husband had a slight cold, but one day, he suddenly started coughing blood. We only found out that he had cancer when I sent him to the emergency department for checks.

 

"He was perfectly fine before that."

 

Mr Chen underwent radiotherapy and his condition turned for the better, but he was suddenly hit by a fatal stroke on the right side of his body.

 

This was the second time that Mr Chen experienced a stroke.

 

Seven years ago, a stroke left his right body paralysed. However, he managed to recover up to 90 per cent of its functions in about three years then.

 

Mrs Chen also told the Chinese daily that her husband's oldest brother had died from nose cancer and second brother from leukaemia in 1993 and 1997 respectively.

 

The oldest brother was only 48 when he passed away and the second brother, 52.

 

Apart from the brothers, Mr Chen's 91-year-old mother had also passed away earlier this February from colon cancer. She was originally diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago, but the tumours had spread fatally to the colon.

 

Mr Chen's maternal grandmother had also passed away from cancer.

 

In the genes

 

When questioned by reporters, Mr Chen's sister-in-law said that the cancer probably ran in the genes of their family.

 

She said: "All three of them were good men. They didn't have any bad habits like smoking or drinking.

 

"Our guess is that the genes from their mother's side could have caused the cancers.

 

"No relative from their father's side has died from cancer before."

 

Mr Chen leaves behind his wife and a 20-year-old daughter.

All glory to Jesus, He is the same yesterday, today & tomorrow.

 

Even today, He still heals all those who has faith in Him. For those who dun even have the tiny faith of a mustard seed to move "mountain" (sickness or sorrows), can ask others to pray for him (James 5:14.)

 

There is scriptural basis for modern day miracle healing, but sometimes when healing don't happen, christians question God's promises or words , instead of searching themselves for disobedience, disbelief, bitterness, hidden & unrepentent sins etc etc. And of course, Luke 11 taught about persistency in asking Him for anything else in prayer including healings. And lastly, scriptures talks about God's perfect timing even for healing miracles.

 

And let's not forget that under new covenant, unlike the case of Job, we are the children & priests of God's kingdom (Rev 1:5-6) & the Holy Spirit (Almighty God) is living right inside our body (Holy Temple). Through the awesome power of the Holy Spirit inside us, we as His priests & children are given power of authority over evil spirits (Luke 10), & healing the sick (Mark 16:17).
