hi need some advice....

i'm ridding a 11 year old shadow ACE

recently been hearing a "clinking" noise when i rev my throttle....but couldn't locate the origin of the noise. performance of the bike not affected...but the noise coming from somewhere!

can anyone help?

hi bro i'm ridding shadow too and i had the same problem "clinking" noise. sometime u hear it and sometime u dont. and i dont really know where it come from. shadow17 u ever try asking with any of the bike shop?

I still have my FP shadow...the clicking noise it it hen you signal....or does it come from loose chain

1. Headlight not tight the header clanging against the housing....

2. Your Chain not tight.

3. its somethings that is loose vibrating since you say only when u throttle....

Its like finding a needle in a haystack.

Now, how can someone tell where the irritating noise comes from when you can't even hear the sound of the bike's enjin from this forum, eh? :giddy:

 

Isn't it better to meet-up with the thread starter n maybe from there can give him advice OR mayb the thread starter join any of the forum's meet-up session? Worst to worst, can make new riding frens mah.

i had this same problem too and have identify where the sound is coming from. It is actually my exhaust pipe hitting the nut at the rear wheel whenever i rev the throttle. You can try one simple experiment. Try pressing your exhaust hard against the nut and rev your throttle. If the 'clinking' sound is gone most probably you are facing the same problem as me.
