I was merely curious about the price and possibility of carbon fibre fairings, and yes it has been done already. That Mito is no longer here though. However, I do know that I am not the one who wanted to order derestricted kits, do home-made fairing patching, custom-make a single seater mould, buy new sprockets to get more speed, and so on and so forth.

And I have spent quite a bit on my last overhaul which I have to admit, was way below my expectations in terms of standard.

By the way, my friend who lowsided his 998 paid about 1800 for his carbon fibre sideboard fairing. An original is 1500. 300 more of carbon fibre, don't know about you, but not a cut-throat price I'd say.

Posted

my petrol is about $80 per month? one tank can tahan me slightly over 1 week... 1 tank is about 20+...

2T, $20 a month... lol... 4months hor, i only use 2 bottles of 2T leh... lol... and my 2T reservoir is full... haha... can tahan damn long one...

Yes ar! Earlier ttoday i just changed gear oil, gaskets and clutch plates. Hur hur hur... i'm now on a tight budget till my pay comes in. Gaskets and clutch plates are orginal ones.

Met another mito owner at FM, Fr plate, red and black, similar paintwork as Sols. The guy named Razif or sumting like dat... His bike is in immaculant condition sia... even the 2T tank is super clean.. sighz... thursday i'm gonna wash my bike..

Posted

but alot of shop owners and friends told me...parts spoil...u be prepared to fork out alot of money...zzzzz....i actually thinking of gettin cagiva...still deciding....

Posted

Errmzzz... if u wanna get a super maintenance free, get a wave or sumting similar. And yeah the parts are generally more expensive than japanese bikes coz from Italy. ANd you have to wait for the parts to arrive. The reason i got Mito coz its my dream bike... no kidding... and best of all it has great handling. Be it in the corners or on the straights..

Prioritise what you looking for. Low maintenance, Looks, Power or handling.

that is IF parts spoil mah... but generally its like any other bike mah... not so easy to spoil one lah...

last time everybody also say take aeroplane sure die one... now everyday so many ppl take aeroplane mah... lol...

alot of shop owners tell you not to buy mito cos they don deal with mito... cos they donno how to... human nature... you donno means no good to you... lol...

but parts are not extremely expensive... they are slightly more expensive... engine parts can actually use like japanese parts lah.. then its the same as any other bike lor... but if you die die want cagiva original in the packing and all, then pay for it lor...

only thing that i think is overpriced are all the cosmetic parts of the bike... i still can't get over how one bloody mirror can cost $135...

too much has been said about this... everyone asks the same thing...

there will definitely be a cost involved... its just like a porsche and a nissan or toyota... why ppl buy porsche or lambo or ferrari... parts sure expensive one what...

sorry if i sound pissed.. but every month at least 2-3 ppl will ask/say the same thing...

but alot of shop owners and friends told me...parts spoil...u be prepared to fork out alot of money...zzzzz....i actually thinking of gettin cagiva...still deciding....
