i tot minerva got two cagiva's .... the yellow wan gone already ah ? ! alamak only left the matt gunmetal wan rite ? .. its not black lol into the shade of black and yes it costs alot .. but its a solid bike man ... damn its nice.. superb handling ! i htink when i went down it was ard 13k... lol considerin now coe increased rite ? .. u guys know wats the coe now > ,,

i dun mind man seriously but all i need to know is how the life of the parts of the mito from u guys...coz i think it actually lasts longer than other japanese makes rite ? .. correct me if im wrong other than forking out alot when u need to repair ure bike and tat is when u dun take care of it are there other changes that do cost more money for a mito ... ? i was wondering of its exhaust ! ... are there any other exhausts out there for a mito tat are legalised... hhmzz.. wonder if the yellow still there always eyein them when i pass by balestier road. i stay near there u see lol.. had a nice chat with the uncle too so guys pls spit it out all abt mitos... and those out there who have changed ure brake lines to hel how much is it and how many lines does mito have ? .2 rite ? ... ty :confused: :cheer:

for legalised mito aftermarket exhaust think only got arrow..full set ard 680-700+

 

i think jollymoto makes full exhaust for mitos too...not sure if legalised.

 

if u thinkin of getting first hand by all means.it's a wise choice if u thinkin of keeping mito for at least 2 yrs(skippin 2a bike)...my previous owner did tht...

whats wrong with having hel brake hoses?

 

having good brake hoses, esp steel braided hoses ensures efficient braking power, also it doesn't break or leak as easily and the stock ones...

 

Mito uses 2 brake hoses

Jolly Moto confirm not legal...

 

Arrow is $680, that was the last i got quoted for...

 

If you get a NEW MITO, you need to....

 

1. Change the airbox intake (Cover)

2. Get the restrictor out of the expansion chamber

3. Rejet your carb

4. Change rear sprocket to 41 and above

 

all these to derestrict the mito...

 

airbox, try to get the old mito airbox cover... the restrictor, i heard that its very easy to take out, but you can ask minerva to take it out for you, at the same time remember to rejet... if not you will get a jammed piston very fast... lol...

Eh, no lar. not trying to be rude. but just telling that the brakes provide sufficient power for singapore road use. Swap for a better brake pads would be a better alternatives. And better fluids. And bleed the brakes. Lastly then brakelines. Unless your brakelines are old and worn, then can go change lar. I mean u buying 1st hand rite? So why not use the stock brakes first.

 

Chill yeah. sorry for my sarcasm. Hope i didnt hurt anyone's feelings.

 

Anyways, u buying firsthand, so dun have to wory much abt wear and tear parts initially.

If you're buying a new one, see if you can get an 05 model. I doubt it, but if you can request for it, will be better. If I'm not wrong, the 04 models MIGHT be 31hp as well, 16hp up from the restricted models....them stupid Italian regulations. But now that regulation seems to have been lifted, and the newer bikes are 6 gear 31hp.

 

wan: Wah your dad racer too eh? CAI in civic...not bad haha. What else did he put in there? And which model civic was that?

hehe thanks for "caring" though, I'm okay...just went through a lot since last 4 months lah...relationship bloody problems, ORD, interviews, new job (i got ~my own~ desk, chair, computer and cubicle now hehehe!!), clubbing, clubbing, clubbing and more clubbing, and then my beloved Aqasha the gear got some problems, supposed to have gotten fixed since 2 months ago...

 

like i said, some joker (FR4461) go and tell ah seng i wanted to sell the bike, so my bike was just sitting there with NO work being done on it cuz Ah Seng scared to do it, since I was apparently gonna "sell" the bike.......(as if I wouldn't have paid the repair costs if it were true at all in the first place). ###### dissapointed lah, two months and FM didnt call me to confirm...bike just sit there eat dust. Bloody hell. You could bet your ass I was pissed off.

 

Luckily it was Ah Seng, I really like him, otherwise I would've made sure the entire SingaporeBikes know of my harrowing experience..

 

And that day at FM, pai seh if i didn't smile back at anyone, I was just quite pissed off that day and trying to keep my head attached to my shoulders..

 

Wow it's been 4 months since I last ride my baby, u ppl better watch out if you see a tribal black and white mito in your sidemirrors soon lol...

 

So, anything important that I need to know? I hope the 4 months ive been away, you guys have been having fun and taking care of yourselves and your bikes; i genuinely hope that none of you got hurt (or worse), take care on the roads. Ride hard, but stay safe!

Mannu: I asked a Minerva mechanic before regarding the HEL hoses, but he told me that it's not really necessary unless you desperately want some crazy stopping power. After all, we are using Brembos, which is a top-of-the-line brand so no worries :thumb: . Like wan suggested, it's also a good idea to change it to HEL if you wish once they are worn out. Don't forget the need to get a pair of good tyres to support the hard braking if you change it to HEL dude! Cheers!

eh guys i think i know where the yellow Mito at Minerva went...

yesterday i was at Al Azhar(bukit timah) sitting down with my friend drinking teh halia when guess wad i saw....

 

yes you guess it.....a Yellow FY plate Mito....

 

i wanted to go and find the owner but an important phone call came and i had to rush off....

 

now COE higher...ppl can still afford... not bad ah..still got ppl willing to pay 13k plus for Mito

 

Mannu-

my view it that if you are getting Mito for the first time dun get a brand new one...

why? cos you can get an old one.....do a full overhaul and change everything...i mean everything and have an even faster and better bike to ride which will come up to abt half(or maybe more) that of 13k...

 

cos it being you first bike...you never know how long you gonna ride it..sekali you ride abt 10-11 months then you realise you want more power or maybe even dun really feel comfortable on a Race bike...

 

ppl who buy first hand Mito are those who have riden and tried other bikes and know that they want it more than anything else...alot of ppl show interest in Mito just for its looks and the fact that its rare...not really for its performance.. so until you discover what you are really comfortable with dun make such an investment.

the FY plater stay somewhere near bukit batok area if i am not wrong.

 

saw him a couple times but he always wearing FF so cant tell if he caught my signal or not ... maybe nexttime just give him the finger. that i am sure he can see. HAHA ! :cheeky:
