Aza: Hohoho, it's called V-power. And I'm not surprised that it did 170 (according to speedo of course). I've heard many accounts of Mitos hitting 200. What is it that you have done to your bike?

You got to see it in order to believe it. Im using keihin 39mm flatside racing carb with k&n air filter, power booster, spilt fire suppressor, boyesen reeds, arrow pipe and porting done by the boss of first motor. others like hel brake lines and hh brake pads. currently thinking of getting the BRAKING full floating wave disc but too ex $510 and also wp rear suspension. when i have the money then might consider doing it.

yea i got 175km/h on my fs 6 spd mito too..no mods too..but then again the speedo might not be accurate.

hey man i got my pirelli dragon for 220, i dunno if that is cheap but i did it at a friends shop...along braddel rd can help you ask if he still got not

hhmm... maybe didnt use airbox, then air cant enter at high speed cos of turbulence?? i think i heard somewhere... not sure

Hey guys, just to let you know, I've gotten some top-grade info regarding some testing methods which we have heard of. Specifically, it's been said to cover the exhaust pipe for about 30 seconds, when you're testing a bike you might want to buy, and see if the engine dies off. This is actually very unhealthy for your engine, especially 2-strokes, and can even cause a piston jam. I haven't checked out the technicalities of it yet, but this is according to someone well in the know. It is normally performed, however, on 4-strokes, with a cloth so that at least some air can escape and is done to check for leaks.

 

So guys, the next time you're testing out for a 2-stroke or letting someone check your bike out, please please please don't let them cover your exhaust. And no offence to anyone who has ever posted such advice, I'm sure it was in the best interest of potential buyers!

seems like a very high rev bike to be....ask u...hows ur low end??judging from the mods....so u have problem curising on highways?

air box helps in ur low end....by removing ur stock airbox with ur stock carb on, chances of u losting ur low end is very high....Normally ppl retain the airbox n use air plugs on the sirbox so that during high rev, the airbox is able to supply enough air. For a mito its best to use the air box snooker to provide more air during high rev. useless u r using an after market carb, chances ur airbox does not supply enough air. But in sm casing of replacing carbs, The bike is not ridable. Can onli be used in track. Thats wat happen to me bike when using a ported 34 mikuni flatside racing carb with arrow pipe and carbon reeds. Changed bk to stock carb for now...too hard to curise ard. Juz to share sm inform with u guys...

eh... heard that stock mito reeds are carbon fibre one? so which aftermarket reeds are you guys using? V-force??

yup... he resprayed his bike... but i haven see before yet.

 

regarding the steamboat thingie i dont think i can make it leh... will confirm soon ar...
