Hi Mitosis! Congrats on getting a legendary dying breed. Just curious, where did you get your bike from, and what, in as much detail as possible, is the condition like?

Maybe you could put it in like

Exterior: No scratches, nice paintwork, original mirrors and original seats. Left side balancer has a scratch, etc.

Internals: Sounds great when starting up, easy to throttle yada yada, etc.

Cheers!

Oh, i know got steering damper installed or something like that, dunno whats it for. Also, the rider seat im not sure if its original but the person installed a one seater already, will also be giving me the original seater. When i went to the shop the mirrors werent installed so i dont know if they are original

Heck even if they werent original and installed i wouldnt have known.

Also, generally speaking do the 7 gear mitos outperform the 6 gear ones? Based on stock for both.

oh btw...it's quite important to check whether the mirrors r orig...coz orig mirrors fr minervaSG costs roughly 220-230 a pair...i got a new pair not too long ago.! heart attack !

sorry man i was in camp the whole week. confinement period. well the pipe is from lionel father. first motor own custom made racing pipe. it can over rev easily. comes with its very own header and i will trow you the carbon muffler also if u want it. i can let you try it first. then feel it for yourself . if you dont like it then just return it to the shop. i will be heading down tomorrow to first motor to take a look at my bike so you can contact me and confirm a meeting. 97647781.

And the bike is now red/white not black on gold.

Also, to be sure we are talking about the same bike, is it FR 9908?

9908? I think there was a black 9980 somewhere. Think it was an FR plate. Anyway, Mitosis, how come you didn't consult the forummers before going down to get the bike? 4k+ for a bike that needs tender loving care isn't an idiot-proof investment man heh. Where do you stay?

Or if it makes things easier, add me on MSN at [email protected]

yup fr 9980(u had a typo haha)...it was black on gold..insist on thre orig mirrors...and legal arrow pipe is 700+(excl. installation fees)...illegal one quite cheap...so is he giving u orig arrow pipes WITH the "arrow" words on the pipe(if arrows r legal insist on the LTA certificate of legalisation of the pipe) or the original mito pipe(without arrow wordin)?...some things sound too gd to be true bro !

better check all details....and btw...non-orig sp mirrors costs $8/set...as opposed to 230 per set for cagiva mirrors...

Posted

yeah i know, he said that the original mirrors were already not there when he took over the bike.

He is giving me an original cagiva pipe. That any good?

The arrow end can he is giving me is an illegal one which i definately will not be using.

if u dun wan lta to go after u then use back the original pipe if not juz use the arrow pipe. if i not wrong original pipe for cagiva is already from arrow but biketech claims that their arrow is the full system. dunno whats the different though.

No way im using that illegal arrow pipe. im not gonna pay rov 500 bucks man. With the 500 bucks +200 more i can get a legal full arrow system :giddy: :giddy:

Silver LEXUS ES300 NO. PLATE SBB 5S

31th July 9:45pm

On Outram road, the right turn into the CTE, the driver of this vehicle attempted to run me off the road. I was on the correct lane and he did not indicate, swerved right into my lane, beside me, leaving barely enough room between me & the barriers.

I immediately accelerated but upon realising that I was trying to get away from him, he accelerated even harder. I braked hard to let him pass me.

He then went after this Bung-Ga-Lah on his KIPS but couldnt catch him.

I followed him from Outram all the way till AMK wanting to see this guys face for future vendatta & to show him the international "peace" sign but he kept dodging in and out of traffic hoping that I wouldnt follow him.

The moment I try to pull up to the drivers side he will narrow the gap between him and the car on the right lane that its impossible even for Kate Moss to get inbetween.

Anyways, if anyone spots this S.O.B. please, give him a piece of an Aprilian's mind

Andre: Thank goodness you're ok. Will give him at least 700Nm worth of my Italian Salute! Problem is, did you get the number right? There are no vehicles registered with SBB plate number 5...

Posted

Im pretty sure I got the no. right.

Are you able to give me a list of all the SBB registered plates?

Unless the guy is driving around with a false plate?

Which makes him think he can drive the way he did...........

All SBB registered numbers? Lol that would be quite impossible. It is, however, likely or possible that he was driving with fake plates. Remember the grey NSX we saw in Holland the other day? "Fake" plates. It's registered to a Subaru WRX STi but he probably took it off and stuck it onto the NSX. Seen a certain well-known guy do the same with his Murcielago. But I'm quite sure SBB5S is not registered.

I can confirm the SBB for sure.

If its fake, better still, if can find the bugger, call the cops man.

I swear its a SBB.

He turned off at AMK, heading for Serangoon, Hougang area.

His plate was the silver no. ones, def not white, matt finish, non-reflective nos.

Will keep a lookout. Just double checked and that plate has no records. =/..

On another note, I was just looking at the price trends for our bikes and was wondering, why are people selling their mitos at low prices nowadays? Our bikes are 14k for a brand new piece, a KRR or NSR is around 6k brand new. And given the same registration plates, our bikes are sometimes worth less or just about the same as those bikes. What's wrong??? Even the KTMs (I chose that comparison because they are also frequently called "problem bikes" and are pricey too) are selling for much higher prices. I think we ought to control our prices if not we will be on the losing end...=/

haha its difficult to control price unless ur a big organisation or something liddat. the demand for the bike is not as big as sp or krr therefore the price drop so fast. mito is slightly better then aprilia if u wan to compare the depreciation level. its possible to control ur price but i believe when u wanna control u will take a long time to sell therefore the price still drop. unless u find a desperate buyer.

Posted

but still.. its not really right tt mitos should b sold at such low prices.. esp just cuz mito plates are kinda old already.. and it doesnt mean tt u pay a higher price for a newer plate mito means tt its in gd condition.. i feel tt i rather pay more for an older plate mito in very gd condition, than paying for one with a newer no. plate, but gives lotsa probs..

so LE.. pls.. dont sell yr bike at such a ridiculously low price.. *pengz*

hehe.. i'm gonna hold onto mine till i get a super gd price.. heh.. if not i'm willing to keep it alwayzzzzzzzzzzz...........................................
