Hello everyone.

I dont own a mito but i'd like to get one soon.. where do u guys get your mitos?

I went down to minerva and there's 3 on offer at $10,800 brand new.

i got a few qns to ask..hehe.. hope u guys can help. im damn noob.

-How much is a 2nd hand mito? like say 1 yr.. 2 yr ..3 yrs. ?

-How's the fuel consumption?

-Is it true that maintenance is expensive ( not talkin abt spare parts )

-Most importantly, how does it sound like.. does it sound like those jap sports bikes eg kawasaki 150 with the super high pitch sound that is damn annoying.

A bit off topic but is a cagiva raptor 125 good ?.

thanks!.

Cagiva Mito 2nd hand normally normally ranges from around 2-2.5k for 1994-1999 mito7 model to 2000 to present 6 speed mito6 3.5- 5k, Year 2000 onwards all mitos are 6 speed and less powerful compared to the 1994-1999 7 speed models. Things to take note are electrical stuff, and starter related. Parts are a little more ex than jap bikes because parts are to be flown from italy and its a small price to pay for a bike which looks and sounds better. More info can be found by reading the mito thread hope this helps:smile:

haha.. No problem then.. By the way u all wearing racing suit? Me tot of getting 1 for myself.. Any recommandation?:help:

Most of us are wearing suits, and those that aren't have already placed their orders. Usually, guys go up in touring gear and knee guards (roller-blade or hockey) to look look see see, then end up getting addicted and therefore comfortable investing in a suit.

Good entry-level suits include Komine ($450+ from Motoworld - 10 Kaki Bukit Rd1), Xstrom (about $650 from Biketech21), Gmax ($550-plus from Single Trek Shop - 922A East Coast Rd), and GPR (about $600 from Chong Aik- Desker Rd). They all seem quite close in quality but I'd end up recommending Gmax.

Mid-level suits include RS Taichi ($1100+ from Motoworld), Nankai ($1100+ from Motoworld), and alpinestars ($1300+ from Regina). I'd recommend RS Taichi for 2-piece suits and Nankai for 1-piece suits.

1 easy way to shop is to join us at the track; then you'll see us wearing every brand I just mentioned. In my opinion, a suit isn't optional if you're pushing hard on the track. People do get hurt, and worse. A suit can minimise that hurt, or even help avoid it completely. Few things are as worth spending on as your skin.

thanks man. i tried looking through this thread but itsgot 170++ pages man!! i can't really find the info im looking for.. haha. thanks for your reply. i just saw a red mito today along ulu pandan rd.. nice man.

94-99 models wont they have alot of problems already? im aware of the power diff of 6 speed n 7 speed. .from what i gather the 6spd only 15bhp n the 7spd one is 30+.

Do u think its worth it to get a brand new mito, if im gonna use it for more than 2 years?

Posted

the newer 6gear ones are also 30+BHP now... according to some UK mag...

From then to now...

I bought 2nd Hand Mito. I'm planning to use maybe 4 or 5 years, until the COE ends. But you can be those rare FZ plates in Singapore for Mito! :cheeky:

Im thinking of using the mito until got money to buy a decent class 2 bike.Havent even gotten class 2 license yet so that's in the distant future.

I mean if im gonna keep the mito for awhile i dont think i shld get 2nd hand leh...very scared of problems. haha.

Ok im super noob, FZ plate meaning the latest batch of registered bikes is it?.

What's gonna be after FZ?.

The lady at minerva told me only got 3 MITOs left, after those 3 are gone their not bringing in anymore, but Mah motors would be doing it.

Are there parallel importers for bikes, just like cars? Anyone else bring in MITO other than minerva and mah?.Im more familiar with cars than bikes...heh.

If the breakfast in the east side, like Upper Paya Lebar or Bartley road that kind, and super early that kind, I don't mind. I can join you guys in my school uniform.

Bro..its break-fasting, itz around 7pm. not breakfast which is in 7am..ha!ha! sorry if there is miscommunication. Break - fast is where all muslim ppl break their fast for the day which is usually by sun set (dinner).

Bro it will be nice if u would join. i`ll see the respond and most probably set the date in a few days time.:thumb:

Yes currently the newest batch of reg No plate for bikes is FZ series, i think coming to 7000+ already, after which I'm not sure.

If i were you i am not really keen on spending over 10 grand on a brand new Mito, you can buy a lets say y2k registered model for around 4grand plus, de-ristrict, do everything up also a lot cheaper than a brand new one. Older ones must see luck already, I've brought an FM plate one, (bike coming to 11 years old liao) for abt 2k, overhauled beforehand, been using it for abt 7 mths and only spend money on regular servicing, wear&tear and replacement starter only.:cheer:

The mito's sound is nothing like any other 2b bike i've heard. And so is the rs125's. But then again, single piston 2-strokes ain't my thing =p. But the mito still sounds good :thumb:
