Muser: Hahaha yeah! Don't know about you though, but I love my bike best between 5k-7k rpm on a cold night. Sounds Effing awesome and bassier than usual.

Corona: There's some kind of rubber washer from Honda CBRs which you can use to fit in between the bolt and fairing + nut and fairing. That'll help cushion the stress. Can try calling ah boy to see if he has them, if not, most other bigger bike shops should carry it. But it's not a big part though, so might be difficult to get.

Anyone got pillion seat cover? I cannot pillion others anymore.. The crack is starting from hairline to holes.

yo.. i might hav those rubbers.. mines gone last time.. so i used those sort of cushion type.. round thing where ppl use to paste below the lef of the furnitures.. i duno how 2 describe.. but it works to support ur seat or ur pillon's weight onto the frame instead.. hope u get wat i mean.. btw.. the reason of ur tail being cracked or even chipped off is that the shop or previous owner didnt have the spraywork done properly.. they didnt sand off the old layer before spraying on.. i kena once.. when ur pillon didnt sit properly it will crack.. or get down wrongly oso might crack..

Hmm, so your bike sounds bassier when it's running a leaner air-fuel mixture; interesting. Aprilias sound less bassy the leaner they go, so maybe it's a Mito characteristic. For me, it's the 7k-9k rpm stretch that gets my hair standing - the transition from civilised composure to frenzied ferocity.

Most of us are wearing suits, and those that aren't have already placed their orders. Usually, guys go up in touring gear and knee guards (roller-blade or hockey) to look look see see, then end up getting addicted and therefore comfortable investing in a suit.

Good entry-level suits include Komine ($450+ from Motoworld - 10 Kaki Bukit Rd1), Xstrom (about $650 from Biketech21), Gmax ($550-plus from Single Trek Shop - 922A East Coast Rd), and GPR (about $600 from Chong Aik- Desker Rd). They all seem quite close in quality but I'd end up recommending Gmax.

Mid-level suits include RS Taichi ($1100+ from Motoworld), Nankai ($1100+ from Motoworld), and alpinestars ($1300+ from Regina). I'd recommend RS Taichi for 2-piece suits and Nankai for 1-piece suits.

1 easy way to shop is to join us at the track; then you'll see us wearing every brand I just mentioned. In my opinion, a suit isn't optional if you're pushing hard on the track. People do get hurt, and worse. A suit can minimise that hurt, or even help avoid it completely. Few things are as worth spending on as your skin.

Track boots: You can budget about $200-$250 for this. I recommend Gaerne boots (from JR Pte Ltd along Serangoon Rd) cuz they're value for money while having premium features like comfort, ankle protection and sliders. The cheapest track boots I've seen so far are Sigma boots from Chong Aik, which I think you can get for about $150. JR Pte Ltd often has 2nd-hand boots and boots on clearance with limited sizing, so if you're lucky you'll find a bargain.

Track gloves: You can budget about $100 for this. They should be long gloves that completely cover your wrist, and should be armoured. I'm wearing cheap $70 (sticker price $90) Hodaka gloves from Motoworld. I think Regina also has Rjays long gloves for under $100 but I'm not sure.

Inner suit: The cheapest ones you can find are about $30 from Regina or Chong Aik. Good ones like those made of Coolmax are $100 - some of us will buying a bunch of these together soon. Inner suits are quite necessary for 1-piece suits. For 2-piece suits you can get away with not wearing one, but it's a lot less comfortable and hygienic.

Questions!

1) Mito Exhaust, to remove the entire exhaust along with the header, must remove the entire side fairing?

2) Mito Exhaust, can just remove the end can that connects to the pipe?

hey man how much did you paintwork cost you?

any patching involved?

Altogether $600. But if your Rims are already Black in colour, then the paintwork will cost $500.

Got a 2 cracks on the front fairing, beside the headlights there. And my right signal light in front at first shaky, cannot tighten, because I drop the bike, then the fairing there dent in. But suddenly after the paint job, its fixed tightly again. And the front cracks, he make new piece for me, or either that he go sand down again, because he says the crack quite jia lat. He gave me back the bike first, but he holding on to that piece. Going to collect back from him soon.

Desmo: Heh just got myself a WR2.. Not too bad so far, but I still miss my Mito a lot...=/..

Muser: Yea, supposedly it should get a sharper/higher pitch tone when running lean, but mine was tuned to run best on cooler temperatures. So hot afternoons it's kinda sluggish.. But I did use it a lot at night as well, so it pretty much balanced out. How is erm...your block running? :cheeky:

You and Visor brothers or something - both riding WR2 nowadays? :giddy: Wish you could've joined us on the track before selling off your Mito. My bike's running strong, despite previous predictions of disaster from most quarters.

Wow... You are big. Don't whack me ah... :cheeky:

If you're looking at a sports bike only, no matter what your size is, Mito and RS125 is the biggest it goes for a 2B sports, even if it still looks small for your case, there isn't anything bigger I think.

Unless... You don't get a sports. A Varadero is big, or a Scrambler or Paggio X9. Those are bigger some more, but they aren't sprots.
