Ehhhhh... This is fcuking irritating. Last time ride Mito, polish until so kilat, people remove cover and play with bike, then drop some more.

 

Knn... Now ride Daelim Dayster, Ah Peck bike, polish every corner and shine fuel tank, people also want to play! Nothing else better to do ah?!

 

What do you all do to protect your bike. I think I want to install alarm liao lor. Everytime I wash, wax and polish, after that sure like that. -_____-

My place the ppl initially tried to stuff tissue in the fuel tank rubber clamp tat area. But they stop le, maybe because they see until sian. Ur bike so polished, they also sua ku again, so will touch. Maybe after a while they will get bored lo...

Hopefully they get bored. But my bike was tampered with at Changi there. When I went for Chalet.

 

My mirrors were tilted 90 degrees, my choke was turned on, my kick start handle thingy was pushed out, my fuel tap was turned off, my headlight was switched on, my main light was turned off, my Cashcard Reader cover was opened, and the engine cut off button was pushed in. Not to mention all his fingerprints on my silver portion of the bike that was polished less than 4 hours ago. I wear gloves, so definately not my fingerprints.

Hello Mito riders, i'm new to this mito forum. But i've been wanting to buy a mito for some time as i have some experience riding a FM mito and i really like it. I'm passing this FM mito down to my brother and that's why i'm currently looking for anyone who would be willing to sell their mito?

Wah... he practically did everything he could imagine. Apart from taking the bike apart and playing with the internals. But actually, how will installing an alarm help? The alarm also got some maximum distance whereby it cannot alert you of anything right? On the other hand, maybe it will deter them from touching bah...

But then again, after talking to my Dad based on his experience with bikes, and talking to some uncles who ride Daystar at the bike shop. Alarm not a very good idea, because of the alarm, the person might get more pissed off, then just kick the bike over, alarm go on for some time first only mah, just kick and go away loh. Alarm will stop one. I think that would be worst. So I've decided to get a bike cover then just cover, less than 3 hours, got cat pee on it.

well from my point of view, having an alarm is betta than none, simply because when the alarm is going off, even if juz for the 1st warning tones, will deter the intruder from trying to be more funny, and keeping away from ur bike the next time, or when trying to steal ur bike parts simply because the alarm would have attracted attention to nearby passerbys. no one likes being noticed & watched, yes?

dun worry about the remote can't receiving the distress tones from ur bike when parking in an enclosed places like the mscp.

the pitch of the alarm going off will scare off and pierce the ear drums of intruders, especially in the dead of the night in enclosed places.

most ppl dun recommend alarm because there are reports of the alarm systems screwing up the bike's electrical system.

not really true. i once had the whole ignition wire harness fried not koz of the alarm, but is improper insulation of the spliced wires. after i had done a proper insulation job, no problem encountered so far. i noticed ppl whom do the installations, when smt goes wrong, would always blame the alarm when the actual faults lies with them.

 

an alarm is highly recommended, if ur worry about the potential problems, then install juz the basic functions w/o remote start(great for warming up), ignition immobalisation(even if using keys to turn the ignition w/o disarming the alarm, the alarm goes off and the engine kill is applied), etc.

 

alot of green eyed freaks ard... especially when they set their eyes on an rare italian beau....

But it might deter them from stealing parts, but kicking over the bike because they're more pissed would be worst right? They maybe try 1 time, then alarm go on, they run. Next time they will come again, just kick over the entire bike. Lagi jia lat leh. Lol!

Syarif, there r a lot of dual compound tyres in e mkt. Which one u refering to? Not really worth it if ur bike is mainly for transport n the ocassional NSHW.

nope.. mine is red n black mito. fp plate with one yellow rear seat.. but most of the time i drive to school. me n my pick up~~~
