R1 - 2 door

R2 - 4 door

 

most class 2 bike has bigger engine :cheeky:

 

but anyway its a car and can sit at 4 person but i guess its great to be a personal car

 

any1 noe more?? like the pricing and other details....

according to the mag I read, the R1 will be priced around $50k based on the current COE prices. The most successful keicar here has to be the Suzuki Wagon R, otherwise all others hardly sold more than a handful, such as Suzuki Cuppuccino, Honda Beat, and more recently Daihatsu Copen.

 

In Singapore, Keicars do not enjoy any special concessions, so it's difficult to justify it's ownership for a typical Singapore driver.

think it's too expensive for a car under 1000cc... their targeted buyers are ladies like the icar that is coming out from mitsubishi this year too..

It is too overprice for K car liao.... sgcarmart selling a copen at 70K+... really too ex...

 

If you check the price of a K car you will see the price is really very much cheaper than regular car... Think it is a novelty here so the markup is really high...

dun mind paying extras if going to drive for long... as long as single can loh...

$50K plus for a 660cc car is not worth it

Might as well buy a normal mid size jap car like the suzuki swift

I seen both cars on the road about a year ago. From Sgcarmart about half year back got one Cappucino being sold... So i will assume they are still around...

wonder will there be a turbo accessory in the aftermarket.

Know there are many vivio with turbo customed onto them to make them more driveable. Light weight with turbo...should be nice.

Has anyone gone for test drive the R1 or R2 ? Read that the cars are already in MI.

 

In today's ST, TP has bought 8 more WRXs, and Police has also bought some Impreza for patrolling. Impreza for patrol car.....hmm....

I've read about the Keis Cars on the Automobile Association's magazine.

 

The R1 was sooo cute. But the price was really not worth it.

 

I also did a research on the Honda Beat & Cuppucino and tried to search for similar newer models but to no avail.

 

If the Keis cars comes with better concessions and discount. Really...it would be great to keep & drive one during the rainy season where we cant ride.

I can probably write a fantastic letter to LTA to justify lower tax or special concessions for keicars, with all the advantages of being environmentally friendlier, smaller footprint...bla... bla... so that they can be made more affordable than full size cars. Wait ! Why would LTA deny itself of this revenue in order to allow you the pleasure of owning a car ? You want to drive, you pay, otherwise, use our superduper world-class public transport system.

its good to have them at neighbourhoods. some places in woodlands and admiralty have long straigh roads, or even west coast where ppl like to speed.

i tink it all beats down to wether u like the car anot.to me i like the idea of a japanese hard top convertable tt's fun n easy to drive..top speed only at 140,but i dun drive up north,so to me its ok.speed i've had my fairshare.for a hard top convertable 2 seater w turbo,i dun tink 60k is too much.its a small car,easy to park,no concessions only lo,but floor n floor the acclerator still can get at least 10km/litre.to me tt's hard to acheive.helps to prevent u frm revoking ur lincese too..ahahahaa

R1 or R2 both cute as everybody knows but this is a very very very very veyr very basic car so dont expect anything more than that.

also the build quality really cannot make it for me.

 

sorry to the drivers but it feels like a toy.
