What is Paintball?

Paintball is a game of tag (tactical action game) using paintball markers. There are several type of plays such as recreational, scenario, and tournament paintball. It is being played by people from all walks of life ranging from children right up to adults.

 

This is a fast, adrenaline packed game which involves teams equipped with markers which shoot gelatin filled capsules called "paintballs". The objectives of the game is usually to protect your base while at the same time trying to capture the other team's flag without getting "tagged" or "marked".

 

History

The first paintballs were created in the 1950s for forestry service use in marking trees from a distance, and were also used by cattlemen to mark cows. Two decades later, paintballs were used in a survival game between two friends in the woods of Henniker, New Hampshire, USA, and paintball as a sport was born.

 

Equipment

The basic equipment need is; paintball safety goggles and face mask, proper clothing (camouflage jacket and pants, old fatigues or plain old blue jeans and a jackets), extra paint tubes with paintball and the desire to have a good time.

A chest protector distributes the impact of a paintball over a large surface area, providing protection to players during a paintball game.

How a paintgun works

All paintgun use air pressure from an air tank or 12-gram cartridges to fire a paintball. The velocity of the paintball leaving the barrel is usually 250 to 300 feet per seconds (fps). 300 fps is the maximum allowed at tournament while 290 fps is the maximun allowed at most playing fields. Air tanks comes in different sizes. The bigger the tank, the longer you can play before requiring a refill. Sizes begin with 4oz and goes up to 20oz.

Time : 8.00am (GP Esso)

Move Off : 8.30am

Riding Speed : 90 - 110 km/h (Varies depending on traffic condition)

 

Destination

Tari Bayu Summer Camp

Lot 3274, Jalan Tanjung Piai, 80230 Kukup, Pontian

 

Duration of Stay

Approximately 6 hrs including lunch break

Each pax entitled to 3 games.

Paintball intended for 20,000 i.e each games average about 150-160 paintball per pax per 15 min session

 

 

Schedule Plan ; -

• Meet 8.00am at GP ESSO
  
• Briefing at 8.15am and move of at 8.30am
  
• Reach Pontian for 10mins break & regroup of convoy
  
• Move off to Kukup for Paintball
  
• Between 10.00am - 10.45am briefing on how to handle the marker (paintgun), rules of the games & trial shoot at range
  
• Commencement of game from 11.00am - 1.00pm
  
• Lunch break from 1.00pm - 1.45pm
  
• Resume of game from 2.00pm - 4.00pm
  
• Game end and pack up at 4.15pm
  
• Regroup to proceed back to GP Esso

- Gloves (protection)

- Spare spark plugs

- Spare Belt (for auto scooters)

- Spare key

- Cash Card (Pay Toll fee at 2nd Link)

- RM $$$$$ (Min. SGD$50) (Pay Toll fee at 2nd Link-RM$1.60)

- Pls do not bring valuable items
