Went to Botak place to wash carb last week, the fatty did the work because botak leg was injured not sure what happened. But dont know for no reason why Fatty go and adjust my air screw.

After the carb wash, my bike cannot start when its cold. I have to adjust the idling very high then can start. Went back to botak and tell him the problem, he says its the air screw so he adjust for me. Happily I rode back, then the next day the same thing happen again. I called botak and his shop is not open on holiday.

So I took the carb out and check if anything wrong, but found nothing, I adjusted the air screw according to the manual 1 and 3/8 turns out, still it wont start. Then I adjust to 1 turn out finally it start. Ride for 1 day w/o problem then today it wont start again when cold. I have to kick start many times then it will start.

So far I have change the plug aleady, check the carb and the wiring all ok. I suspect its the float valve worn out and petrol is floodling the engine, because sometimes petrol will overflow at the bottom of the float bowl.

hey thx man..now got alot of questions to shoot ah..how to make it abit faster..do i need to mix abit 2t in the tank?where to adjust idling..tyre pressure..belt cost how much to change..bla bla bla... :cheeky:

Let The Good Times Roll

Err.. for skipper ahz, its top speed is onlie 90km/hr +/- 15km/hr. (For mine at least)

If u wanna make it faster, can try this but will be ex lohz;

Spend $400 for a 150cc piaggio block and piston set. $200 for malossi racing crank. 200 for polini variator. maybe a few hundreds for a tubeless tire rims. And if you are daring, can try changing the carb to a better one as well

Then in time to come, change the suspension to bitubo shocks. 600 for complete set to complement the increased power! Confirm the skipper will "Fly"

For Cheap one, do the normal Carb washing, Proper tuning and that should be it. For tuning, can go to any "recommended bike shop" to do it for you. Some of them are good with it.

2t tank inlet is located beside ur fuel inlet under your seat. The cap got say "OIL" one, hence if ur 2t pump is ok, no need to premix liao. For belt, can cost up to $80 for a good one and for rollers, roughly $30-$40 and take note that u also need to change the U shoe which cost about $10-$15 i think :cheeky:

Tyre pressure, i pump 30 PSI for front and 32 PSI for back (i pillion people a lot ) but supposed to be lower

How fast you want? Should be able to get to 90km/hr on your meter...and at this speed, the brakes barely stops your bike in time liao :giddy: and watever money you spend on your Skipper, chances are when you sell, it won't justify your spending!

Skipper have a 2T compartment...unless your 2T doesn't flow properly, then you premix into the tank at 50:1 (means every 1L, mix with 20ml of 2T)

I never adjust idling before :cheeky: maybe s750WP knows? Tire pressure forgot...can search previous postings or wait for kind soul to answer you..

Belt change usually occurs together with U-shoe (3 of them) and rollers (6 of them). Plus workmanship, I'ld say abt $130 (prices vaires) unless you DIY..

before carb wash..were you able to start easily?

Before wash carb 1-2 crank on the electric starter switch it will fire up.

After carb wash, crank more than 20 times also cannot start, use kick start have to tried at 8-10 times then it will fire up.

Last nite I adjust the idling screw and air screw until the engine sound to the smoothest and least vibration. This morning 1 crank on the switch the scoot fire up. Will have to monitor for a few days. If not will have to look for Botak again. Sianz.
