i can only advise based on the fault finding section in my haynes manual..

white/blue smoke - 2 strokes engine (oil burning)

1) Oil pump cable adjustment incorrect. Check throttle cable/oil pump cable adjustment

2) Accumulated oil deposits in the exhaust systems. If the scooter is used for short journeys only, the oil residue from the exhaust gases will condense in the cool silencer. Take the scooter for a long run in hot weather to burn off the accumulated oil residue.

the manual only have 2 solutions for white smoke ...

U can try pt 2 but now is cool season lor........

btw bro, u r the one who sms today right? if u r, remember to go for a check tomorrow..

White smoke is different to blue smoke.... White smoke is a result of transmission oil leaking into the cylinder and being burned along with the normal fuel/2t mixture....

Blue smoke is normal... white smoke isn't.

Changing the oil seal will likely require an engine overhaul (it does on a PX Vespa at any rate....)

so tat means change oil seal must oso overhaul? wah money come out again.

anyway for blue smoke, wats the cause ar? havent see blue smoke yet.

wat kind of 2T u guyz use? use cheapo 2T cfm smoke out ma...

then use wat 2t good? i mean if i buy the expensive 2t skali smoke alot also no use.

Posted

blue smoke is normal... i.e. that is the colour of your normal exhaust gas.

Like the others have said though, check the simple stuff first... it could be that there's too much 2T in your fuel mix and you're mistaking blue smoke for white smoke...

but i dont premix so can be too much 2t. i check with motorshop uncle said oso no problem. so i guess its just becos last owner use cheap 2t, cos i havent refill again.

Posted

and if i mix a better 2t with the remaining 2t, any diff? how much shd i fill in?

or shd i just wait for the 2t blinker to light up then refill whole bottle?
