Curious, I understand that the slipper tank is 8liters. reserve is around 1.5liters.

what is the average mileage per liters for skipper?

Mine is a piaggio typhoon 125 now.

Same frame, engine family but diferent body panels.

There's actually a second 2liter auxilary tank in front, Due to possible problems with this design, I was told to disable it. So I lose 2Liters of fuel capacity.

I did check whether can chnage to skipper tank or not. It's a complete perfect fit.

But a new skipper tank cost $95 not inclusive of installation.

Paying $100+ just to have additional 3 more liters of petrol capacity like abit not worth it leh. $100+ can pump 90+ liters of petrol already leh.

And donno will upset the weight distribution or not.

If I lucky strike toto yesterday, I will definately install the skipepr tank without any thoughts. Hiazzzzz.

Sounds like a belt or clutch slippage

Then you have to see whether your mech did a good job.

I ever experience a mech put too much grease at my rollers, end up the extra grease is all over the inside of my trans cover. Literally slippage on everything.

The rear pulley main spring can also be the cause too. As time goes by, it could be weeken. Same for clutch spring.

And the last possible cause, the clutch shoe. It may be worn out and smooth.

There's another possible issue but minor. Too much free play or throttle cable is loose and worn.

Must find a competent mech.

There's also another issue with the clutch spring. Some of the mechs out there like to enlarge the clucth spring holding hole, so that the new clutch spring is easier to install. If they do that, the will be some freeplay at the clucth springs already. Hence the delay in moving off.

I understand from specs of typhoon that the fuel capacity is 8 litres, 2 litres of that are reserve...

But the question is, could it be this 2 ltrs of reserve from the aux tank? Therefore the actual fuel tank holds only 6 litres of petrol? Considering that you state that you can only squeeze 5.5 litres and we normally will not refuel it when it's completely empty rite?

I think the main tank is 6 ltrs and aux tank 2 ltrs, am i correct tio bo bro?

cheers. :D

I was advised against it as they say old tank might leak.

Besides, mine's a new bike. Kinda not doing justice for my bike. :cheeky:

Hmmm. Maybe there's 6 liters in tank after all.

After the needle when down all the way. I only managed to squeezee 4.5liters only.

But riding with the needle pointing at the lowest point of E and the fuel led lighted feels insecure leh.
