hmmm... should start gathering and share our skills. looks like we can do our skipper DIY clinic soon. hehe.

anyone konws how to wash carb? i'm thinknig of washing mine soon. having prob with start-up every morning. :sian:

Mmm.., my opinion is you don wash ur carburator unless it is choked and cannot be started. To prevent it from choking, jus wash ur airfilter. It is easy, jus open the screw ( The filter box is located jus above the kick start casing), take out the filter and wash it with water and detergent.

A dirty air filter may prevent the bike from starting easily, as there is a resistance to the air intake. And as long as there is constant maintanance to ur air filter, i don think you ever need to take out ur carburator. :cheeky:

Really?

Leon, you rode Skipper before ah? :cheeky:

Or have a Skipper as spare bike?

I was thinking Botak's shop (or any bike shop) got those air pressure guns they use to unsrcew / screw the bolts and nuts right? Use that one to force everything out of the caburator...then can liao  fast too

If it's as straight forward as that, then all the mechanics can close shop liao.

But really, for things like this, it should be better to leave it as it is if aint broken. But then must also consider that yours is a 2nd hand 2 stroke. Haiz, too many considerations, just do what you think is needed.

Small boy like to Chop chop do cleaning one! :giddy: But seriously it sound like a good idea except for the fact that the carb contains other dirt particles as well! so if u use the air gun, it will still get dirty, not to mention the dirts that will be flying around..... :sian:
