Rebound Damping: 1.0 turn out from HARD

 

Compression Damping: 1.25 turns out from HARD

 

Spring Preload: Maximum

 

Fork Drop: 10mm showing above the triple clamp.

 

Rear Shock:

Rebound Damping: 10 clicks out from HARD.

 

Compression Damping: 3.5 turns out from HARD.

 

Spring Preload: Position 6 of 9

 

 

 

Kawasaki ZX-6R

Forks:

Rebound Damping: 2.0 turns out from HARD

 

Compression Damping: 1.75 turns out from HARD

did they state the weight of the rider which those settings were based on? btw, all abovementioned bikes are 08 models right?

 

The lightest rider was 160 lbs and the heaviest was 180 lbs. So if your weight falls within these ranges...these settings are for you.

 

And yes, these suspension settings are for the 2008 models.

Feb 06 - Apr 07 Honda Nsr150 SP (FS3573Y)

Use the figures given as a baseline and then adjust from there.

Suspension adjustment is a trial and error and a very personal thing. No one setting will suit all..... depends on your riding style.

niway any idea y my front tyre wears out faster then the back? front suspension too soft? oredi harden a bit. or jus the way i ride sumthing wrong?? hahahaha......funny...anyone else face same problem as me?? cant seem to find anyone on track with same case as mine. my riding style unique issit?? hahaha :cheeky: improper technique on track i guess....hmmmmm

The sides of tyres wear down faster than the centre.

 

PG is a more right turn biased track and I used to end up with the right side of the tyres wearing down faster than the left.

 

I used to go for 3 sessions with a new set of tyres, reverse their fitment, go for another 3 sessions, removed them and sold them off as 2nd hand tyres for $100 a set.

 

It was easy to sell these worn tyres as they are about half worn to the edge with no chicken strips and the centre still has alot of tread depth left.

 

Then I buy another new set and the cycle repeats itself... I get fresh tyres for track use all the time and I buy them $100 cheaper.

yes i know the side wears out faster. PG case, rght side will wear out faster. but usually back tyre right side will wear out first, which used to be my case too, but only recently my front right started to wear out faster then the back. hahah...dunno y.

 

u reverse yr tyres???? is dat safe to do???? i know it is not recommended but a few riders did it. feel like doing it, but fear the tyres will give way w/o warning, or even worst possibility of bursting. wat i know is, the tyres r built for one fix direction. u cant see it physically, but maybe the characteristics of the tyre will be diff once u reverse it. so i dun dare take the risk. unless really really proven dat it is safe to reverse yr tyres.
