yes, u must display coupon.

It said Day AND Night parking. The mentioned time, 8.30am-10pm is for day. 10pm-8.30am will be night

you are wrong..

day and night because 8.30am to 7pm consider day, and 7pm to 10pm consider night, but our motorbike coupon is from 7am to 10pm..

so already cover, and no coupon is needed !

Wayne: awesome article. All our support goes to you.

The list of motorcycle parking in singapore will probably be taken off Wikipedia - its admins are discussing now and the way it looks, it'll probably lose its fight. i don't totally see why, seeing as there are lists such as "list of radio stations in south carolina"

However, i am endeavouring to place it in sgwiki - hopefully it has more clout to stay there, at least.

cheers all

cool! didn't know got such a list on the wiki. i've just paid $6+ for a 1.5hr parking at UOB building. o_O exactly the same rate as car. And i can't find bike lot. nb

|boom!|

hey guys.. i got fined last week for parking along the pavement opp. vivocity.. ironic seeing as there were at least $50 other bikes there and i don't believe that we were obstructing anything..

but thanx for the guys that wrote in to the press to bring this matter up..

went to vivocity on monday nite and had one heck of a time trying to squeeze between barriers and walls to get in and out of the carpark.. there are NO LOTS available so just park wherever does not cause an obstruction..

dunno how sincere they are about inviting us in but well..

can anyone check up on SCOTTS SHOPPING CENTRE? i went there just now and the barrier too long to let a bike in, and got sign next to it depicting a bike with a wheel clamp on it... although it said "in considerate parking". still doesnt look inviting...

so i'm putting a 'dodgy' sign on the sgwiki list next to Scotts Shopping Centre, until someone can confirm or deny the situation there. was looking forward to what seemed to be the only free parking near Lido :(

PS: anyone and everyone can edit and update the list on sgwiki, and you are all invited to do so. I've only been riding for 3 weeks (heh) so hopefully the lau chiaos of the forum can help out :)

cheers!

Lancified - can you provide a more detailed explanation of which lot to avoid and which to take?

I entered the Vivocity carpark 1 (as i recall) and it led to the basement #2. The gantry was too long and it is impossible to squeeze - there's barely a gap! I inserted my cashcard and back peddled, the gantry was lifted up. I chose a spot and called the Vivocity parking helpdesk. They said bikes are to pay too:

Free for First hour, $1.10 for the next consecutive hours, and $3 per entry after 6.00pm.

As i got p!ssed off with the jakun mass of crowd, i left within an hour and a half - was riding aimlessly just trying to find an exit only to find that i can actually squeeze out through the gantry at the exit point.

I have the best signature.

Yesterday went to Vivocity...tried to enter like normal but the darn barrier just refuse to lift....Luckily got a small gap so I reverse a bit and park at the side where a few bikes were seen there. Going out time I just followed behind a car while it exit. :cheeky: Darn confusing parking policy for bikes....so got bike lots one or not??!! I thought the GM replied to New Paper some time back saying bike lots are available now?? Darn it!! :bouncefire: :bouncefire: :bouncefire:
